Olivia (vinjii) | 1147 comments Oh dear! lol I’ll try and keep up. One a month is definitely doable. I might struggle with 2.

Lena The GR list says Riftwar is four books. Your list looks like a Saga.

I can send them to you if you want:)

Choko (chokog) | 12597 comments Let's go with one a moth so it is doable for more of us:):):)

message 8: by Lena (new)

Lena Oooh Choko, that sounds like fun! When would this adventure begin?

lorii (Loriidae) | 325 comments My son has every paperback - to the extent that he would only buy them if they were in the same cover set. He adores them. He first read them as a teenager after I introduced him to fantasy with David Eddings.

So as I have a library in the next room. I can start with everyone else. One a month is all I would be able to manage.

message 10: by Lena (last edited Apr 21, 2018 05:27PM) (new)

Lena One a month seems reasonable, they are not long Books.

message 11: by Choko (new)

Choko (chokog) | 12597 comments I loved David Eddings as a kid... I wonder how hos book would read today...

Graeme Rodaughan While I'm sure I would enjoy participating in a re-read, I can't imagine how I would fit this in alongside the Malazan series I'm reading for the first time, and other projects I'm working on.

I'll keep an eye on the chat though as I'm sure it'll be entertaining.

message 14: by Lena (new)

Lena Amazing that there are so many.

message 15: by RuinEleint (new)

RuinEleint One book a month then. Is everyone ok with the books I have listed, or should we increase/reduce?

message 16: by Lena (new)

message 17: by Graeme (new)

Graeme Rodaughan Lena - that is the right list and in correct order.

message 18: by Lena (new)

Lena Thanks Graeme. Perhaps we should go by that one then and see how far we get. About two and half years of adventure.

message 19: by Olivia (new)

Olivia (vinjii) | 1147 comments Definitely up for that :)

message 20: by Choko (new)

Choko (chokog) | 12597 comments Yay! We are going to have plenty of books to read ahead:):) I always worry that we would run out:):):)

I really hope the quality keeps the same!

This is the series that got me into fantasy. Love magician apprentice. It took me forever to get through magician master because it has a really boring stretch. Silverthorn is amazeballs, and worth getting to. Prince of the Blood is an alltime fav. Maybe I should reread lol.

message 23: by Choko (new)

Choko (chokog) | 12597 comments Maybe you should 😉

message 24: by Lena (new)

message 26: by Choko (new)

Choko (chokog) | 12597 comments Haha! Now you have no excuses and have to join us for the read 😀!

message 27: by Lena (new)

Lena You bet I will!

message 28: by Lena (new)

Lena So when do we begin Magician: Apprentice because I need to schedule my life around these 31 books 🙂

message 29: by Michael (new)

Michael | 31 comments I read the first book as a suggestion and realized that reading them in a group will be more enjoyable. I have the first 4 and will need to purchase most of them used to get through this series. My local library just does not have many. Maybe 1 or 2 books.

Anyone have a timeframe when this series will begin? Maybe next year in 2019? I hope so, as I was going to suggest this series. Feist's writing is not my favorite and a little dated but I really liked the first book.

Michael

message 30: by RuinEleint (new)

RuinEleint I was going to set up a schedule, but I got sidetracked. I was thinking about later this year, like September, but we could set it up for 2019 as well.

message 31: by Lena (new)

Lena September sounds better.

message 32: by lorii (Loriidae) (new)

lorii (Loriidae) | 325 comments I like September as well. With one a month as I prefer it will take several years assuming I / we make it that far.

message 33: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2050 comments If you guys are still planning to read it in September I'd be in :)

message 34: by Lena (new)

Lena It’s official in my mind. September 1st!

message 35: by Michael (new)

Michael | 31 comments September 1st and I'm in!! Can we get someone to add this to the master list? I don't think I have enough comments to request it so if someone could please do this it would be awesome!

Already read the 1st book, but am going to re-read it once we start the series!

message 36: by Lena (last edited Jun 19, 2018 08:05PM) (new)

Lena Just requested Buddy reads be added from September to March!

September 1 Magician: Apprentice
October 1 Magician: Master
November 1 Silverthorn
December 1 A Darkness At Sethanon
January 1 Daughter of the Empire
February 1 Servant of the Empire
March 1 Mistress of the Empire

How cool would it be if we actually made it through all 31?!?!

message 37: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2050 comments Yeah, 31 is such an intimidating numer.
