I am about 50% done with Scales. It is a fast read, but heavy subject and a bit of a trigger stuff, but I will have it done soon :)

Not sure if any of you are reading the Kate Daniels series...a buddy read for a novella was just posted 4.5 Magic Gifts if you are interested in joining...160 pgs for kindle.

Unless I'm missing something, the only 2 tasks I see that are still wide open for classes are something to go with the water making spell and book with brown cover over 500 pages. I don't know if I can do that one. What would be needed for the water making spell? Rain on a cover? Rain in the story? A faucet or sink on the cover?

So I was looking at my library for available books with 'cloud' in the title to make water. And I found one, but it also works for book with brown cover over 500 pages.

Not sure how quickly I can get through this as it's very long but I like this author so I'm willing to give it the old college try. Maybe I can get print or ebook in addition to the audio.



I will read something shorter if there's already books being read for those 2 tasks and the sheet just hadn't been updated. Because I also requested a much shorter book to cover Clouds and if someone is reading for brown I will read the cloud book first.

Brown cover and over 500 pages should be marked as done with Skeleton crew by Stephen King. I posted it yesterday. Is it not marked?

My mistake, I was thinking there needed to be 2 books like the class before and after.

So would the book A Death in the Clouds work for making water? To go with Stone Lake read by Shan? I will read that when it comes in from the library. Shouldn't take long.

We have Karen reading Red Dirt Heart 3 to read this. The final classes are all being read towards now!

@ALL...as we near the end for Classes...remember we still have SPELLS...you can check the spreadsheet for the letters we have left under the tab marked SPELLS. As everyone has been doing a great job with...go ahead and list all the letters you can.

Another great way to build points huge is to do buddy reads...there are a ton of BRs started and all Kate Daniels and Harry Potter are already set up. If you need help finding these or questions...just post here and someone will help direct you!

Okie dokie. There’s nothing filled in on the sheet for that. So I didn’t see any other empty spots. I will look at letters we are short on tomorrow. I volunteered to be a back up beater in Quidditch. Not sure if I will be able to actually help with that but maybe.

Awesome...until we're down to the wire, I'll suggest that everyone just read what you love...there's always likely there will be a MC letter that could work in the book for the spell.

Just claim your spot on the SS once you know for sure.

Also...I left a clarification in the captains group regarding the start of BRs...I'll post that just as soon as I hear the ruling.

We listened to the Puffin Classics audiobook, it was abridged but I made sure it was over 25,000 words (see spreadsheet). I also went with the smaller page count but the difference between the editions was only 7 pages and didn't make a difference in the points so I'm not sure it matters much. Audiobook was over 4 hours long.
