Thank you! I read it - but I must have read it incorrectly the first time!

I have 3YA books that will work for 3 sides of the square.
If someone has a YA book with first letter of T and last letter of B or T, we have a square...anyone?
My books are:
Left side: The Heir
Bottom: Redemption
Right Side: The Queen or Breaking Dawn
Also...I don’t have to read any of these if someone has something else going.,,

There were a few on the YA List from 2017 on listopia. I couldn't find any in my own YAs that ended with T or B - a lot of mine end in G.

Maria...your completion will need to be used for characters as TriW doesn’t begin until 8/1.
@ALL...you can start but must finish 8/1 or later to count for TWiz...can use for characters if it doesn’t fit elsewhere

I have a book Between the Blade and the Heart by Amanda Hocking, with YA MPG.
Works?
Edit: Never mind. I read your text wrong.

Tell me what you think of the Tattooist of Auschwitz!! I finished it before I figured out it was a BOM

So far? Not much. It is a pretty fast read, but Lale kind of repulses me as a character. (view spoiler)

Still good to hold back for after we finish the initial challenges which I think we will pretty quickly!

Thanks Maddy! I can make a note of that for them. I think they contacted Chava too? Hopefully we can find someone and you can be a backup or not play this round!

Yeah they did. I am a bit hesitant as I am in Australia while the others are predominantly in the USA. It's only 5 days so it's do-able, I guess. I'd prefer someone else to go, but if we really can't find anyone, then I'm happy to do it again. I want to give someone else a go though

Thanks Chava! Same as for Maddy. Hopefully we will find someone else but it's nice to know we will have a few people in as potential players. I think the length (1st) and intensity (2nd) of the matches has intimidated people!

It's the intensity that's scared me off this time. I work full-time and it's not summer holidays here in Australia :). I just don't want to disappoint anyone

Tammie - sorry for the confusion, those covers were just an example. What I wanted to know was do the covers need to match like in the examples i showed or can they just have similar items on them? How similar does similar have to be? :)

I can suggest

And I have almost all books from series available, if need arises.

It is more intensity of it that makes me reluctant. I like to read at my own pace. Some days I do not read at all, some days I read 3 books in a row. Quidditch is not very supportive of such reading schedule.

I can’t do Quidditch for the reasons just mentioned. There’s no day really that I can just be available to stop everything and knock out a book.

Could you cross out Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Task 2 - Retrieve a golden egg guarded by a dragon all remaining dragon tasks from the list in message 1351? I marked them in SS, but maybe so SS and the post would show the same thing?

Sure will...that gives you 7 books Maddy...are you good with all that?

They posted the maze 30 minutes ago but there's nothing else in the Captains notes yet on details. I expect there will be a post any time at Owls making an announcement. Who ever sees it first feel free to post the link so everyone has it.
I hope all who want to will participate in the Maze and Quidditch games. They are a lot of fun if you have the time. I haven't heard from our newer players in awhile...I hope everyone will be comfortable participating!

I should have a lot of books to post by the time I’m done with my trip. Just wanted to update on that

Thanks for letting us know!
@ ALL...books finished on 7/31 or earlier must be entered on the SS no later than 8/1 to count for BRs, BOM, classes, etc.
The only aspect of the challenges that will continue will be Characters, Quidditch and TriW.
Like Jenn if you can't get to it because of a computer...perhaps update your personal booklist. We might be able to update from there...especially if you have BRs or BOM. It's not like we are fighting for 1st place, so it's not something you should lose sleep over, but we should try to keep up with everyone else if we can.
Thanks much!
