Thank you. I really appreciate that. I don't think people are going to volunteer for this challenge when they see those comments. We're all on different continents and it's supposed to be fun.... I'm just not having as much fun with the Tower this time as I did last time and I had high hopes as I'm a huge HP fan. Ah well. This group is amazing at least :)

Thank you. I really appreciate that. Lucky I really enjoyed the book. Not like the book I literally had to drag myself through during Quidditch (I never want to read a book about alien-dragon-shapeshifting sex again!!!). It was good for a lot of laughs though

btw, I've put my book on the tower shelf. The finish date says 8/2/2018, that's because we're a bit ahead of the US. I finished on 8/3/2018 (AEST).

Haven't looked a the Tri-Wiz sheet today but pulling it up now to check. I will then be piling into my bed with Eleanor and Park and finishing it up. It's not at all what I expected and I'm enjoying it as a relatively light/fast read. The laundry can wait until tomorrow!

laundry can ALWAYS wait ;). I am so close to teaching my kids to do their own. I just fear that if they mess it up, I'm left with the massive fix-it fee lol. I have 2 loads waiting too...

I keep thinking that 5 year old of mine is going to develop this strange desire to do the laundry. Some how it hasn't happened! :)

My summer job in college was as a camp counselor at a summer camp and I remember having to teach several of the male counselors (including the one that eventually became my husband) how to do laundry. They literally would pack it full with everything.

If possible, please see Planning SS to be sure a task hasn't been claimed--I've deleted a few tasks so we can concentrate on getting our minimum completed. There are many more tasks available on the SS. I appreciate everyone’s contributions and Chava isn’t it wonderful having your team behind you. I do think the discussion over at Maze was mixed...some not very nice. You are correct...this is for fun! We’ll all do our part to keep it that way!

I really liked it! I was postponing reading it regarles of what people said because I thought it was going to be an slow read like other WWII books but it ended up been the contrary. I loved the writing, I'm already planning on reading Between Shades of Gray. Have you read that one?

Unfortunately our flight was canceled and we got stuck in St.Louis today. Bright side is that we spent the day in their amazing art museum. But I didn’t get any reading done. I plan to read some in the hotel room and then on the plane tomorrow.

Strategy has been to wait until we have points before doing the MainSS...she's doing a great job!

So I'm a little worried about being considered time travel. There is time travel in it - at the end, but it primarily setting up the second book in which the characters have time-traveled already but is primarily set in the past. (second book) might be a better fit but I have already started Discovery of Witches and it's going fast so I will finish it. I have reserved Shadow of Night and should have it next week and I will decide then if I want to switch them out. Either way I will read for the category in the Tri-Wiz.

Anybody read A Discovery of Witches and have any thoughts?

As long as they time travel it's fine. I've read it but I can't remember the difference between the books in the series!
