Tammi, we did get to see the Sunken Cities Egyptian exhibit that was visiting. It was sold out but a very nice local lady gave us 2 tickets when her companions didn’t show up.

Flying home today and tomorrow I will look at the tri-wizard stuff and line up some books for it. If they had put it up a few days earlier, I could have done that before I left on my trip.

I had planned to help with the maze this weekend but I don’t know if I can after being stuck in ST Louis an extra day. But I will check in over there and if I have a quick read and the timing is right maybe I can.

I just finished the audiobook of The Serpent King and there was a funeral in the book. This will go for HP & the Deadly Hallows - Task 3.

Maria, I really liked this book. What did you think?

Anybody available to read a high fantasy, even number pages for the maze? I have one but it’s not really my thing. If so, head over to the maze and claim it.

It's a heavy book, after I finished reading it I spent hours awake just thinking of it.
I'm amazed of how she managed to write such a subject in that way and not make it less serious. I liked the hints at the start. I also feel that maybe I miss other more subtle things and that at some point later I should reread it but I don't know if I'll ever get to do it.

Have you read The Enchanted? Is it similar?

My husband and I just spent alllllll daaaaay picking out tile and plumbing fixtures for our bath remodel. I think I've got the biggest headache ever!!

I finally got home last night and I cannot tell you how happy I am to be one traveling. I didn't get much reading done but I should have time for that now.

I need an audio book to start and so I am looking for something with a gate, for the Escape from the Dursley's task, on the cover.

OK I found a gate on cover book but I have to wait for it from the library, for audio at least. I checked out the ebook. I'll put it on the spreadsheet and keep looking for an audio book to start in the mean time.

Would these work for read 2 books with similar covers? Is the solo woman on the cover enough? Or should they be posed similar?

Hmmm I’ll defer to Ashley, but I think there needs to be more similar...setting or stance. Looks like the same author so graphic style is there though.

The easiest way is to take a sheet of paper and write down the books. I came up with three sides at one point...see Post 1357...i abandoned the idea because we were focused on other tasks.
I’ll gladly read those three or whatever to help if needed. The books must be YA

Mary that’s perfect...finishing up what’s already started is a great strategy if it’s possible

What I don't get is the theme of the four books in the squares. What is the criteria for filling the squares?

I got a good chunk of the book for Ghost done but probably won't finish it until yesterday. Ended up going to my mother's for a while because my brother was there with his 2 young children and I wanted to see my babies. (Lucas is 2 and Livia is 6 months). But I've been listening while doing little bits of house work.

I am also still reading the book for car on cover.

Now that I'm home and no longer traveling, I should have more reading time.

Am I right in assuming that if a book is being read for a task, it's not needed for any letters in a spell out of some kind?

I'm going to claim the "Death" one in the same set as Ghost. I have a short audio book for that one too.

So all that's left on that one would be "celebrates Halloween". I might have something for that one too but I'm going to wait so I don't over commit myself. (eta: I have 3 possibles for the Halloween one on hold with the library)

My plan is to finish Ghost tonight or tomorrow, Death Tues/Wed and read the car on cover book as well (that one is in ebook and will take me longer) this week.

I finished which I put as HP and the SS - Task 1 - Title with 5 words but it could also be used as Task 2 - Book with a song in the title. Let me know if I should switch it or just leave it alone.

I'm reading which will fit for a lawyer for Task 2 - On Trial (Order of the P). I've put that on the SS.

We still have the character spellout we could put books toward, but TriW can give us more points. So towards the end we can fill in if needed.

Both I think would be fine. They just need to be such that if you look at them, you say...'those are really similar'. I think it could be aspects, images or whatever. I don't find myself having to click on these to decide....the bottom two have a globe like thingy with a ball on top. The top two both have a banner with a similar paperdoll like person on top.

A shapeshifter is an easier task to find than a book with a snake on the cover. That's probably why it was put there.

Hi. I have a question...

I'm currently listening/reading Riders by Veronica Rossi . It's about this girl gathering the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse (War, Conquest, Famine, and Death) to save humanity....

I'm thinking this can be used under HP and the Order of the Phoenix: Task 5 - Read a book with a prophecy as an integral part of the story... because the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse is from the Book of Revelations out of the Bible...

Please let me know if this works!!!

I plan on finishing my book for Ghost tonight and I'll start the one for Death. The death book is fairly short and I've downloaded another fairly short audio for the Halloween task on that one. I'll put it on the spreadsheet.
