I think my book is marked 2X. Once on Battle of Hogwarts (Snake on cover) and once in Learn to fight Boggarts (Shapeshifter)Might need another Snake book. I might have another shapeshifter book, Dark Legacy but until I read it I won't know for sure (I think all of the Carpathians shapeshift but it's been awhile)

Could you clarify something for me, please? I understood we have to complete 3 tasks with 4 "undertasks" to "qualify", right? Does it mean that when we finish those 9 tasks, we can claim points for "unfinished" tasks? Like complete 3 out of 4 or 2 out of 4 and still get points or do we get points only when the 4 "undertasks" are completed and we submit the whole "task"?
I can take that shapeshifter task. We all know by now that I have a thing for them :D

My understanding and this question has been asked in multiple ways by several people...in order to get points for a 'task' all four books 'under that 'task' must be read....'undertasks'

Our current state:
We are still at zero points for TriW. You are correct Maddy...we need to complete 3 tasks which includes reading 4 books for 3 HP Book Themes...so that's a total of 36 books to start achieving points.
Honestly we are on pace to finish but we've set a pretty strong pace here early on. We have 7-8 books to finish before we have points and then we will qualify for a 'boatload of points'. To date, only one team has earned points for TriW. One could also argue that the remaining may be more difficult as well.
I'll encourage everyone to read a few shorter books to help us get through these if you are OK with that.
We also need a team of 4 to do a 'relay'. So if you find that your book doesn't work for anything...perhaps you could start the relay.
My experience with relays:
The first book could start with 'the' but the others...cannot.
The last word of the book becomes the first book of the next...so that last word has to be something common. Example...we have several books that end in 'Magic'. 'Magic' would be a good first word as well.
Another Idea: I found this book...it's likely terrible...in my local library. All the words in the title are the same...if everyone on the relay team read it or something similar, that could work too

Thank you :)Well my books are about 200 each, so I think I am on the right track. I do not pick books over 300, because they take too long and I can finish two shorter books in the time it would take me to read one 400 book.
And that book looks awful, but the idea is brilliant :D :D

For now I took Serpentine OFF of the list for 'snake on the cover'

If people at work would leave me alone, I could get back to looking at the open tasks to line up some books, especially since my "gate on cover" book is taking the scenic route to me.

I have a 200ish page book that is 6th in the series I am working on and could start the 7th book right away after to take care of 7th book in the series. Should be able to finish by the weekend.

Maze books can only be used for the Maze...so no need to fill in letters or anything for TriW with those.

I love Fridays. I'm the only one that works on Fridays. So I volunteered to read one more Maze book. Or I should say, have my Kindle read one more to me. That will be it for me today. We're doing dinner and movie tonight. I wanted to help with Quidditch but it's confusing to me so I decided to just be more helpful with the maze. I've got a huge stash of short Kindle freebies that I downloaded over the years.

Trying to decide if I want to start the next HP on audiobook. It's shorter than this one considerably (about 18 hours) vs. 27 hours. I get my commute audiobook time back when my daughter starts school next week since we have been listening to audiobooks together during that time so I think I could get through it.
