Please don’t create threads on other groups asking them to join our group and challenges. You are more than welcome to ask your friends or team members from other groups in the team threads.
Please don't post a link to this in other groups, Slytherpuff. You can invite friends to the group, of course, but we don't want this spammed in groups. Particularly other challenge groups. So if you have shared in more than YA (we've asked for that to be deleted), please remove all of those posts.

What do you mean? If you are creating a thread, no. If it's a thread specifically asking for other challenges, fine. But not just general promotion threads.
We don't want to spam other groups about our group here.Thank you for being so energetic about this challenge. However keep it to just telling your friends in comments or messages. We don't want any issues with any other groups about advertising in other groups.

May of 2018 marks our third year as a group on Goodreads! Each year, we try to do a special challenge to mark our anniversary. This year, our main challenge is going to be a race. But this time, the teams will be trying to beat the moderators. This idea was adapted from a challenge that was done in YA Buddy Readers’ Corner in March of 2015 (YA Challenge). This is a team challenge, and due to the nature of the challenge there will not be a solo option. There is no requirement for number of books that must be read. If you would like to participate, please comment below and let us know.
Rules
*Books must be read and reviewed from June 1st to 30th to be counted
*Books can be any length, assuming a page count is listed on goodreads or amazon (using the most rated edition on Goodreads)
*Five detailed status updates can be used in place of a review
*Reviews cannot be an overview of the book. You must post your thoughts in the review. (If this rule is not met, a mod will comment on your review thread telling you to update your review. Points for that review will not be counted until the review is updated.)
*Buddy reads must take place within our group to count for bonus points
*You must leave at least four detailed comments on the buddy read thread in order for it to count
*Pages from books started in previous months can be counted
*Pages from a book marked DNF can be counted and still require a review and/or status updates
*Manga and graphic novels will count for ¼ of the listed page count
*Individual points from this challenge will be combined with points from the Superhero Challenge and The Series Challenge to decide the winner of the $10 Book Depository book
Points
*Page Points:
100 - 149 pages = 1 point
150 - 249 pages = 2 points
250 - 349 pages = 3 points
350 - 449 pages = 4 points
450 - 549 pages = 5 points
550 + pages = 6 points
*Buddy read points double the page count
*Reading and participating in the group book of the month will triple the page count
EDIT: ALL participating members will be on one team.
EDIT AGAIN: For this challenge, should the members beat the mods there will be one single winner for their choice for an eBook or a physical book.
