Dylan nodded. “Alright.” He smiled a bit and made a few more pancakes. “That’s good.” He agreed softly, smiling. He started eating his own pancake.

Dylan kept making pancakes so the batter wouldn’t just sit. He stacked them all up on a plate so Blair and Arianna could grab more if they wanted. He ate his own pancakes quietly.

Dylan smiled a bit. “Feeling better then I’m guessing?” He commented, taking her plate and putting it in the sink. He finished off his second pancake, glancing over st them.

Dylan finished eating. He cleaned off their plates and the griddle before putting the pancakes in a bag and setting them in the fridge for anyone else if they wanted them. He glanced over at Blair.

Dylan nodded. “right. I was gonna do that.” He nodded and grabbed his phone. He texted the person and asked them where to meet at. They answered quickly. “Library or living room?” He asked, looking over at Blair.

Dylan nodded slightly. “Alright. Ill meet you there with them in a bit then.” He smiled at her. He looked around and made sure he’d cleaned up the kitchen

Dylan went back to his own room for a few, making sure he had everything he needed with him for this afternoon. He figured he wouldn’t see Blair much more today besides introducing herself to the other mother and daughter there but thought that that might be good for her.

Dylan then went to the library to find the other mom, Reese, and her daughter, Ella. He talked with them for a few as they waited on Blair and Arianna to come down.

Ella was right around the same age as Arianna. She glanced at her mom before going over and saying hi and starting to talk to her.

Dylan smiled a bit at Blair. “Blair, this is Reese and her daughter Ella. Reese, this is Blair and that’s her daughter, Arianna.” He introduced them.

Ella talked happily with the other girl, immediately getting along with her.

Reese smiled and shook her hand. “It’s nice to meet you too.” She replied. She glanced over at her daughter to make sure they were alright.

Reese smiled and nodded. “Sure.” She agreed, wanting to talk to this other mom who’d somehow ended up here too. Besides, it seemed their daughters already got along pretty well.

Dylan smiled a bit at Blair. He stayed out of it.

“Yeah. It’s a little ways away though so it might be better if I drive us over there?” Reese offered with a smile. She glanced back to Ella.

Dylan waved. “I’ll see you guys later.. have fun.” He smiled a bit and headed to the door.

Reese smiled a bit and nodded. “Stay out of trouble Dylan.” She told him. Ella followed Arianna over to their moms, still talking happily with her. “Okay!” The girls said together when they were told they were heading to the park. Reese smiled. “Well they got close quick..”


“I’ll try. On both of those things.” He smiled and left the room.

“Yeah, definitely.” Reese smiled a bit. “And it’ll give us both a chance to get a break occasionally cause one of us can watch them both sometimes.” She offered, heading out to one of the cars after grabbing the keys. She unlocked the car for them.

Reese got in the drivers seat. She glanced in the back and made sure both girls were buckled up before she started driving to the park. She glanced over at Blair.

“So how’s you end up coming to the estate?” Reese asked her curiously as their daughters talked in the backseat. She’d heard part of it but wanted to hear Blair’s perspective on it.

Reese glanced over occasionally and listened as Blair told her story. She nodded slightly. “Sounds like something he’d do..” she commented. “My husband was Dylan’s best friend. After he passed, Dylan offered to let Ella and I stay at the estate so we wouldn’t have to worry about figuring out a house and all that with just my small income from the bakery I worked at at the time.. so that’s where we are now. I handle most of the baking from rolls to cakes to whatever else there now..”

“It’s alright..” Reese assured softly. She smiled a bit. “Yeah. He is. That’s just how he is as a person though. If he finds someone who he thinks could do well in life and be happy with just a bit of help, he’ll do whatever he can to help them.,” she commented with a shrug.

“Yeah. Stories like yours are how a lot of people ended up at the estate. Just someone down on their luck who Dylan wants to help. Some of them stay and work for a bit and then move on, some stay. Some leave almost immediately. It all kinda varies. But don’t worry, there won’t be a ton of work for you, you can probably just work with me if you wanted.” She offered, glancing at her as she drove to the park.

“Dylan won’t kick you out or anything. Unless you stole something major or physically hurt him or his family. He’s a huge softie honestly.” Reese assured. “That’s my plan too. Just stay there cause it’s all Ella’s ever known and she likes it there so why move her around..” Reese smiled and shrugged. She parked at the park and looked around.

Reese parked the car and got out. She smiled as Ella followed right after Arianna, the two of them seeming like best friends already. Reese let Ella lead Arianna into the park, following behind with Blair. “Have you ever heard Arianna talk so much?” She asked curiously.

Reese nodded. “That makes sense. Especially since she’s only known just you for most of her life.” She guessed, shrugging slightly. “Ella is only this talkative around me and Dylan so it’s kinda nice to see her talking so much with someone else.”

“Well. You won’t have to worry about that again I don’t think..” Reese assured. She smiled, watching the girls head over to the playground together. She ran a hand through her hair.

Reese watched their daughters together before glancing at Blair. She shrugged. “I dunno honestly. Kinda don’t see the point. I was already with the love of my life.” She answered. “What about you?”

Reese nodded, listening to her. “So, how are you picky when it comes to guys? Or like what do you look for?” He asked curiously.

Reese smiled and nodded. “You pretty much just described a guy like Dylan.” She commented with a shrug, watching their daughters together as they ran around and played. She smiled a bit.

Reese smiled and shrugged at her. “That’s Not a bad thing, he’s a good guy. It was Just an observation.” She commented, looking st her.

Reese smiled s bit at her. She nodded in agreement and looked back to their daughters. She tried to figure out what more to talk about.

Reese smiled a bit and sat down on one of the park benches near them. She glanced over at Blair. “Whatcha thinking?”

Reese shrugged. “They have no prejudice or guard really I guess. It’s like Another person likes the same stuff as them, and then okay, we’re friends now. It’d be nice if adults could do the same sometimes..” she replied. She nodded in agreement. “It is..”

Reese nodded. She thought for a moment. “Baking, anything sweet, reading, anything colorful too.” She listed with a shrug. “What about you?”

Reese nodded slightly. “That’s reasonable, especially since you haven’t had much time to do stuff like that lately too.” She Agreed. “You’ll get it figured out though over time..”

Reese nodded slightly. “Yeah. You’re more than welcome to work with me and I’ll start teaching you what all I know.” She offered. She watched Ella with Arianna and smiled a bit.

Reese smiled and nodded. “Is there any particular thing you would like to make or learn how to make?” She asked her curiously, trying to think and plan ahead for tomorrow. She watched as their girls played together, first on the swings and then on the slides and just all over the playground.

“Alright.” Reese smiled and nodded. “I’ll come up with some stuff that we need/want to make then for tomorrow.” She Agreed, already starting to think about it. She could make most anything by scratch and often wrote out her own recipes for stuff.

Reese smiled and nodded. "Of course. You're welcome." Reese replied kindly. "Is Arianna supposed to be starting school soon or not for a bit longer?" She asked curiously after a few. She kept an eye on their daughters, smiling a bit as they played and ran around with everyone else.

Reese nodded. "Yeah. He's supposed to be doing the same for me too so Ella can start school." She agreed, smiling a bit. "He always goes way above what anyone expects when it comes to taking care of people. He'll help you get it all set up for whatever school you choose." She assured her. She nodded. "Don't worry, I'm nervous too, I think it's part of being a parent honestly."

Reese nodded. "Good. It'd be a little odd if you didn't trust him honestly." She commented. "Yeah. We will be. But that's okay. We can handle being nervous parents. They're still really young so there isn't too much to worry about.."

"Yeah, me too. I wish I could've kept Ella in toddler form. Or just stay at that point in time." She commented, smiling a bit sadly. She bit her lip and was back to her normal self. "Yeah. She is. This fall most likely. She's a little on the young side but she's smart and it would be good for her I think.." She answered.

Reese smiled and nodded. "Yeah." She agreed and continued to watch their daughters together for a few. She didn't really know what more to say without changing the subject so she stayed quiet for a few, thinking.

Reese smiled a bit. She glanced at Blair and shook her head. "Not that we've found so far. What about Arianna?" She asked curiously, figuring that Blair was right and pretty smart to think about that. Maybe it'd work out so her and Blair could raise their two daughters together and help each other out when it got rough or too be too much.

Reese nodded. "Okay. Good to know." She smiled a bit at her. She watched their daughters together. "It's nice to see them both so bright and happy like that." She commented softly, glancing back to Blair.

Reese smiled. "Yeah, of course. There's lots that we can do so we'll just have to plan out what to do when." She agreed happily. "I think both of them can use a break from us smothering them." She commented softly.

Reese nodded. "Yep. Lots of options of stuff." She agreed. "Yeah, we should. And you're right that he works too much, it wasn't always like that though. But I'd imagine he'd really enjoy accompanying us on whatever we pick to do."

"Yeah.. He was a lot more laid back before when he was younger. And then family expectations sunk in or something I guess. He started doing more and more expected stuff and then goes beyond that when he can. I dunno. It's like once he started getting into doing more stuff, he doesn't wanna stop. You'd have to ask him about the real why though, I'm just guessing honestly." She shrugged at her

Reese smiled a bit and nodded. "You're back to sounding like you like him." She teased her lightly. "I mean, I get why and you'd probably be good for him." She shrugged at her.

Reese grinned at her. "Why I think what? That you like him or that you'd be good for him?" She asked to clarify so she would answer the right part for Blair.

Reese nodded. "Well. When we were talking a little bit ago, you said you were picky about guys and then proceeded to pretty much describe a guy like Dylan. Your mind keeps going back to him cause you keep mentioning him and wanting his company and the chance to get to know him." She explained. "And then you'd be good for him because it'd be something more to focus on than just trying to make the world better in any way he can. Plus, he's been single for way too long cause he's picky with who he's with as well."

“It’s alright.” Reese assured, smiling st her. “As for the type of person he likes. Someone who doesn’t care about his status or wealth, down to earth, someone who isn’t just gonna agree with everything, he’d rather be able to talk about everything and debate it occasionally. I suck at explaining his type cause I’m not sure about it considering the last time he went on a date was a couple years back..” she shrugged. “You fit his type though it seems to me..”

Reese smiled a bit. "Yay! I knew it." She nodded and looked over at her. "I'm not playing matchmaker or anything but if you need and tips or advice on him, let me know." She offered with a shrug.
