SOS: Serious Overload of Series discussion

For Round 16 of Bingo, we started with 76 players, with 6 dropping out, and 6 standby players joining, so with #11 shelves + Free Space we had a potential of 912 books to read. We managed 870 books over the 11 weeks of Bingo and ended with 76 players (though there were a few that stopped posting). (Five late additions to the stats three of which were 5 stars).

Apart from the Winning Team #19 Vampire Queens, 4 other teams also read all books for Bingo, Team #9 Dressed to the Nines, Team #8 Chapter Chicks, Team #10 TENacious Readers & Team #2 Breakneck Bookworms.

I wonder what the author's would say if they saw these. Especially Patricia Briggs and Ilona Andrews as they are almost always the 2 most read authors during these games along with Robb/Roberts and Nalini Singh.

I wonder if the timing plays in to that. Briggs comes out with a new book each March. I think there's generally a Bingo either already underway or just about to start when her new book comes out, right?

Timing is always critical, as well as shelves ie had 8 readings but I doubt we would have read that book if it hadn't been for the Necromancer shelf.

Thanks Sandra. These stats are so fun to look at. I usually read randomly old books that everyone else has finished eons ago, but this time I three times (!!!!!) picked books that one other person read during the challenge. And one book that two other people read!
