I'm just browsing this folder again, I know this particular subject didn't get much attention (1 view?) But seeing this one again, I really like it! I love O'Keeffe and I like how it isn't 'exactly' portrayed as a sunset looks in life. I don't know how to explain what I see and feel, I just really enjoy this one...I think the most of all of them!
And if I could possibly acquire her painting for myself, I would proudly display it in my front room!
How about an old one from Thomas Moran?

Yeah I guess he did! I've never heard of him, but he does do a good job on sunsets.

I saw this painting at Musee d'orsey. I love Monet's paintings. To me they have a tranquilizing feeling.

I too think this painting is a good interpretation of Van Gogh's spirited fiery nature. The bright colours speak for that.
“Fiery nature” is an excellent way to associate Van Gogh with that painting with all the yellow/gold and wide brush strokes...
