Moni I just finished my second go at the books. Wow, the second time is even better. I had to re-read the series after reading the directors cut volume 1. The books just made me want to read more, more, more. I spent the last week re-aquainting myself with all my favorites characters: Boyd, Hsin (Sin), Emilio, Carhart, and even Vive. If there are people who have not read this series, they sure are missing out on a great read.

I couldn't agree with you more. One of my all time favorite series. Oh, I wish, I wish, there was a Part II series in the works. Maybe if we begged and pleaded :)

Wouldn't it be great if Santino and Ais wrote about the next stage of Boyd and Sin's life in the Agency as Captains? I get goosepumps just thinking about it.

I thought that too, until I read 1/27 an icos anthology. Then I got this crazy scenario in my head where Hsin's brother finds and begs Hsin and Boyd for help against the Agency who is trying to destroy him. In exchange, he has to provide a safe place for them to hide and financial assistance to find and convince the others to return to help break out Emilio and Carhart from prison and then take down the Agency once and for all. Luke, Doug and Ann, who still work for the Agency, can help from the inside. And, one last thing, Hsin's cold and heartless brother finds himself reluctantly falling in love, maybe with someone they rescue from the prison while breaking out Emilio and Carhart. Then they take over the Agency. Crazy huh?

Moni that is a great idea.

Cl Thompson I read all of these books back-to-back. Once you get started you can't stop! I can't wait for the next book. I just love this series. It was so interesting seeing how some of the people changed once they left the Agency... (Ryan & Carhart). I could see Carhart and Emilio along with Sin and Boyd running the Agency. Also, someone needs a bionic eye. Come on...fix him!!!

Monika I'm thinking about re-reading ICoS since the week the first part of Director's Cut was available. I haven't read DC yet because I'm afraid I won't like it. I read like half of first page and I was terrified because it was different.
Logical part of me knows that it's stupid and it is simply impossible to not like it anymore but well...

Hahaha! I was going to work like a freaking zombie but I read it all in under a week. Who needs sleep, right? :D

Exactly! It was the only thing that I didn't like. I was like "Huh, but why...?" . Couldn't justify it in any way. He was already in a losing position because he wasn't enhanced and in 1/27 his disability was presented even more.

I know how you feel! I'm afraid I won't like it either. Didn't stop me from downloading though :)

Monika I downloaded only the first part and today I found out that the second has already been released. I'm so freaking out I'm not even visiting their page anymore to not read comments :DDD

Hope they will think hard about continuation of ICoS (I think it was mentioned in 1/27). Then I will DEFINITELY read :D

Susan I'm pretty sure I read on their website that Sonny and Ais want to write an ICoS Part II series. Unfortunately, it will probably be years away. They still have to finish ICoS DC, each have solo projects they want to do, etc. I want it like yesterday!

Monika Haha, me too! 1/27 was such a teaser! Soooo many new ideas. Blew my mind completely.
I had ICoS 2 craving for a while then. And I can't remember what I started to read that took my mind away from it. It had to be quite good... ;D

Susan I read Special Forces Series followed by ICoS Series and I was looking for something similar. Never did find anything. I tried reading the The Administration Series, but I just wasn't feeling it. Everything sounded so sweet and fluffy, and kind of boring. I don't remember what I finally settled on either.
I'm sure it had to have some sort of edge/angst to it.

Monika I also started The Administration because somewhere I read that it's somehow a bit like ICoS but didn't like it. Maybe I had to high expectations, dunno.
I could read Bareback after ICoS. It's totally different but maybe that was the key :P

Susan I'm a bit hesitant to read Bareback. I hate cheating, but I know it got good reviews, and I believe, isn't too fluffy and sappy.
When the books are too fluffy and sappy, the guys end up being "chicks with dicks". If I want that, I'll go grab a m/f romance novel :)

Monika Awww, you shouldn't known about cheating.
Dammit, bloody spoilers :/
Well, it's been over a year since I read it but I don't remember it being "fluffy and sappy".
The book broke my heart because I didn't know what to expect when I started reading. And I loved the boys. BOTH of them. It's really worth reading. And it's got HEA, don't worry :)
And the second book is calmer but also quite good. It's a good long epilogue to the story ;)

Soooo true. Too much of it and my teeth hurt. I don't even like it in m/f books. I'm still looking for a perfect m/f book where a girl won't whine and will have balls (metaphorically of course) ;D

Susan Hmm, I'll have to think back to the books with kick ass girls. I know I have read a bunch of them, aren't coming to me though. Let me think on it. I believe they were part of a series.

Susan If I remember correctly, (it's been awhile since I've read them) Lorelei James Rough Riders Series, Jaci Burton Wild Riders and Killers Series, Sydney Croft ACRO's Series, Larissa Ione Demonica/Lords of Deliverance Series and Lora Leigh Breeds Series all have bad ass girls in at least some of the books.
I'll let you know if I can think of more.
Hope this helps.

Monika I've already had one of Rough Riders book on my to-read list but Wild Riders and Killers sound promising. Thank you! :)
