Sadly it looks like there's no way we're going to get it. We've used a third of the time we had and have only raised 12%.

They aren't getting anywhere near enough donations to make it to even 1 Million by the deadline. We need a serious increase in word spreading. An easy way to let your fellow readers know what's going on is to invite them to the Frostbite Movie Goodreads Event (https://www.goodreads.com/event/show/...)

Anyone can invite their frends, simply scroll down to the bottom of the event script to where it says who's coming and click on "invite people" Select all your friends (note that each page only holds 100 so if you have more than 100 friends make sure you select all on all your pages) and press invite! We need to reach a ton of readers in the next 2.5 weeks!

the campaigners should realise a lot of their fan base is under age and therefore cannot just online pay for stuff. And my mum won't pay and let me pay her back for some stupid reason. :(

anyone know what's going to happen to Frostbite, now that the kickstarter finished and failed? :( really want it to happen. The problem was that the kickstarter was only up for a month! give us a few more and I'm sure we'd be able to raise the money!! really want another chance of a kickstarter!!

Exactly, a month was too short for a fanbase (the majority of which are teenagers) to donate 1.5 million dollars.

hmmmmm well I think there needs to be better ways to get the money, but I agree that more time could've helped and ways to pay besides credit card for the majority of the fanbase under 18.

yes the cabin scene definitely needs to be better!! I don't think the directors/writers/producers etc are thinking of or considering a TV Show version of it...I think they'd stick with the movies cause they put so much time and effort into it. plus, they've already written the script for Frostbite and everything's ready to go, they just need more money and need to know the fanbase really wants it

If they did they'd have to battle with the Vampire Diaries fandom for vampire fantasy show views, so I don't think that will happen either unless the Vampire Diaries ends (WHICH I DON'T WANT IT TO YET)

Hmmm, yeah, hard choice Renèe... but, when I heard about bring VA world in real life, I always thinking about TV shows... RM could create more bigger plots and we could see lovely Adrian more!!! Thats the most important, for me, at least.

But yeah, we have to competiting with TVD and also The Originals. It feels so hard to competiting with such a great fandom who already survive for 6 seasons...

Ikr? That's exactly what I was thinking! I also want to see Adrian more. If they rush through that and skip most of the scenes with Adrian, I might stop watching it

Rushing never an options. I hope whoever producer who wants to bring Frostbite or even creating TV shows (CROSSED FINGERS!!!!) will really think about the main plots of the book, and not skipping interesting scenes there.

I know, I'd much prefer it as a TV show but then yeah... Vampire Diaries and The Originals. :/

Eh, why frostbite? I mean, if they create a tv show then they have to shooting from vampire academy first, isnt it? People will get confused if booom...!!! suddenly there is frostbite tv show

I LOVE THAT IDEA! If they start from Vampire Academy, they can include important details they missed in the movie and take their time with the best scenes, a.k.a the lust scene, the hospital scene(actually getting it right and according to the book), and the last fight scene: Rose and Dimitri vs. Natalie. And maybe they can do it in the same order as the book(did anyone else notice they changed the order a little in the movie? For example - Movie: Rose breaks her leg, she wakes up in the hospital and THEN they go shopping; Book: They go shopping THEN she breaks her leg around the time they get back to the school.) But we might have to wait longer to see Adrian if they start from the first one.

How about someone strts a petition for VA becoming a TV show.

yeah well mortal instruments is starting again from City of Bones so I'd hope they do the same thing for Vampire Academy.

I say that we wait a little longer because the producers always wait until things have died a little to see if they can do anything else like a TV show. And they know they have the support but just not the credit card wheedling adults in the fanbase. It's a more teenager show definitely, although there are adults, but still a lot of teens so we couldn't crowd fund very easily.

True, i think it could do really well as a TV show, you know, one of those shows that everyone thinks will bomb out but will turn out really successful and win all these awards and stuff #dream

Julie Plec,producer of The Vampire Diaries TV show, wants to adapt Vampire Academy into a TV series. Considering that the movie didn't turn out a major success, this is great news. :D

Julie Plec needs to stay away from any adaptation of VA, She has already shown to be incompetent and lacks professionalism plus if you think VA's movie was bad, Julie would make it even worse. She'd probably make Rose/Christian happen and ruin Adrian. I don't trust her with anything.

But see, the vampire Diaries novels weren't that good for screen, and the series itself jumped around a lot, I actually love what she's done with it and I read all the Vampire Diaries books.

I think it'd be great to have a Vampire Academy tv show! But not necessarily written by Julie Plec, but if it is, great, so be it. :) I am actually looking very much forward to it! ^_^

I disagree, the books would have been great but they never had a fair chance and the books get bashed so much simply because the writing was different back the '90s.

Oh the writing was fine, it was more the jumping of the plot that I didn't like, but I think if they were to make The Vampire Diaries again, they'd have to make it a LOT more fantasy genre rather than paranormal. Because there was SOOOOO much fantasy involved. :D

hmmm I think that they are still trying to get funding, it was just a youtuber asking the directors and screenwriters, otherwise they are in review aka they are looking at how to market better and keep the series going. (personally I still think VA would be better as a TV show but hey, we'll see!)
