I Read Therefore I Am discussion

Is anyone planning to read anything by Steinbeck this month and if so, which one have you chosen???

I've just been to the library to pick up my copy of Buddenbrooks and while I was there found a copy of East of Eden. I was originally planning to read Of Mice and Men seeing as I missed it in school but this one looked really good so I couldn't resist! Just need to find some time now as it's a lot longer ;)

I've already read of mice and men, it is quite short, but it will make you cry. I loved it. I am halfway through grapes of wrath at the moment, that is really easy to follow and a good story, but everybody seems to die!
