Neptune’s Trident is the seventh book in the Astro’s Adventures series. Astro and a team of dogs belong to a secret organisation that save dogs from neglect. Their plans are foiled by an old alley cat, Speed Bump Charlie, who believes all dogs should be locked up so cats can roam free. In this title, Neptune has lost his all-powerful Trident. The dogs’ underwater adventure begins when a clumsy sea monster called Sherman accidently swallows them whole! They encounter a group of evil pirate catfish lead by the wicked, Speed Bump Charlie, and meet a variety of wonderful underwater creatures, including a mermaid. This story carries an important message about pollution in our seas. In it children are introduced to the Great Garbage Patch, a collection of rubbish that gathers in the Pacific Ocean and which is damaging our precious marine life.

Astro’s Adventures are chapter books written for 8 to 14 year olds who love adventures, spies, mystery and a good laugh. This title does not include the illustrations in the eBook version as yet but does in the print version. All other books in the series are fully illustrated.

Also, a percentage of sales from this book goes to the Australian Animal Protection Society.
