Evelyn | 8 comments I go in and out of phases of books and genres that I become obsessed with, and right now it is everything fae! I was scrolling through lists on here like I usually do, and I ordered a dozen library books. One book that came to me was Darkfever by Karen Moning. I thought nothing of it as I started reading it, but then within a couple of chapters, I became enraptured. I read all of the FEVER series in four days. Now, I have no idea what to do with myself. I'm trying to find a good fae series, but it is so hard. Right now I'm trying to hold myself over by reading Karen Moning's highlander series, but I miss Barrons and Mac and the magnificant fae world and Dublin! One of my favorite series is also The Iron King Series by Julie Kawaga.
Okay so I need help for real...
I really love the fae world, but I like urban settings too.(But I really fell in love with Iron King's World).
I also liked how in Darkfever the main character when to Ireland to investigate. I like the different, out of country, setting.
I love romance and forbidden romance. Barrons and Mac were so angsty OMG. I love the idea of humans falling in love with fae.
I like strong female leads, but I really need a sexy paranormal fae guy.
IT NEEDS TO HAVE AN AWESOME PLOT TOO!
I really want to read some sort of fae romance series, but I will settle for angels or gods.
I really can't read another vampire/werewolf/ghost book right now.
*Also I cannot deal with any main characters dying or love interests so please don't do that to me
SO PLEASE IF YOU HAVE RECOMMENDATIONS TO FIX ME. I need something to get me out of the slump, or else I might start the Fever series again!

Gina Wilkins | 13 comments I have to agree with Shari Kay. The Fae Chronicles is an awesome series! I just happened upon it too after reading KMM Fever series. It did not disappoint!! She is currently working on the rest of the series too. I am going to keep an eye on Amelia because I feel like she's got a good thing going and could possibly rise in the ranks with KMM. You should check them out!!

Five (Elemental Enmity, #1) by Christie Rich Dark Matter (Elemental Enmity, #2) by Christie Rich Genesis (Elemental Enmity, #3) by Christie Rich Horizon (Elemental Enmity, #4) by Christie Rich

These Violent Delights (Robin) These don't center around Fae, but there is quite a bit of Fae action in them:

Moon Called (Mercy Thompson, #1) by Patricia Briggs Blood Bound (Mercy Thompson, #2) by Patricia Briggs Iron Kissed (Mercy Thompson, #3) by Patricia Briggs Bone Crossed (Mercy Thompson, #4) by Patricia Briggs Silver Borne (Mercy Thompson, #5) by Patricia Briggs River Marked (Mercy Thompson, #6) by Patricia Briggs Frost Burned (Mercy Thompson, #7) by Patricia Briggs Night Broken (Mercy Thompson, #8) by Patricia Briggs

Then these books are centered around Fae, I read the first book and didn't like it that much, but maybe you would.

Debi (debisattic) | 157 comments I loved Karen Marie Moning's books.

Tairen Soul Series by C. L. Wilson is a good one for the Fae. Do not judge these by the covers! Lord of the Fading Lands (Tairen Soul, #1) by C.L. Wilson

October Day is worth the read! Maybe for Urban Fantasy, but good Fae series. Rosemary and Rue (October Daye #1) by Seanan McGuire

Michaela | 147 comments Most of the fae books I've read and loved have already been mentioned here but one that hasn't is The Shadow Reader (Shadow Reader, #1) by Sandy Williams , which is a really great fae series.

message 22: by Kajol (new)

Kajol A really amazing fae book?

This is my all time favourite fae series: A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J Maas

Book 1: A Court of Thorns and Roses
Book 2: A Court of Mist and Fury
Book 3: A Court of Wings and Ruin (To be released May 2017)

ACOMAF is my favourite. I'm still not over it and eagerly awaiting ACOWAF.

There is a brilliant plot. There is unequivocal love. There is sacrifice. There is a strong female protagonist. There is danger. There is violence. There is politics. There is secrets. There is the dream team. There is the different courts. There is the fae world and how it ties to humans.

It is absolutely brilliant.

Cheryl La Pa (cheryllp) | 24 comments I also highly recommend The Shadow Reader (Shadow Reader, #1) by Sandy Williams .

Darkness of Light (Darkness, #1) by Stacey Marie Brown is also another great fae series.

K. Lincoln (kbirdlincoln) | 10 comments Emma Leech Les Corbeaux series? Very angsty, french vampires and fae lords.

message 26: by Cara (new)

Cara (wodehouse71) | 5 comments Fun Fae Series:

1. A COURT OF THORNS AND ROSES by Sarah J. Maas
2. Elder Races by Thea Harrison ( Fae, Wyr, Dragons, Smexy, alternate fae worlds and war between light and dark fae)
3. The Bargainer series by Laura Thalassa

All three series involve: humans and fae, heavy romantic element, strong female leads, and plenty of yummy adult content. In my opinion all have very different and unique/alternate world building, but really you should just go read ACOTAR it will ruin your life in the best way. Cheers!

message 27: by Genevra (new)

message 30: by Amoreena (new)

Amoreena | 66 comments I totally agree- this is the best series and A Court of Mist and Fury is one of the best books I've ever written. The writing isn't perfect, but Sarah Maas is an expert at relationship building . The third book fell short for me, I had very high expectations for it, but still enjoyed it.
