Unfortunately, after a messy launch for the remake, Blizzard managed to publish a patch which adds even more bugs and crashes. Maybe the company aims for a record.

Will I ever get around to playing new games again? Definite maybe. I might just keep Stardew Valley, Subnautica, and Skyrim in rotation for another year.

My nieces take turns playing while I loosely supervise, and they have the farmer pet the animals, visit people in town, cook things, and then go to bed, and then get up and do it over again. This is enough to keep them happy for a surprisingly long time. It's a very chill game.

This is darling. I love how kids will create their own experiences in games like this.

It's sort of 'same, same, but different' to Subnautica. I am enjoying it. Still scared on occasion when diving deep and there's a nasty fishy monster stalking me.

Just finished again after something like 20 years Dragon's Lair, I think it aged very well for its age.
Onward to Space Ace!"
Where did you find it, and how did you play it?! ..."
They are all on Steam for PC. If you wait for winter sales can get them for cheap. Sorry for the late replay, I've seen your post just now. Shame on me.

For some reason I bounced right off Below Zero. I need to try it again. I'd love to hear your impressions when you're through with it.

I shall be sure to post them!

I haven't gotten to Dragon Age yet but I love BioWare's RPG's! Will need to play them soon. Once I realised they are not connected to Faerun world, like Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale and Neverwinter, I got a bit disappointed and kept replaying those instead 🙈.

Baldur's Gate I is my favourite game, followed closely by Mass Effect and The Longest Journey. Is that your first playthrough? Enhanced Edition?
I recommend Mass Effect (sci-fi series) and The Longest Journey (a blend of sci-fi and fantasy) to any story driven game fans. My favourite stories come from games rather than books and those are my top titles.
Video games are by far my favourite subject and activity.
I have never heard of few of the games mentioned above so I gave them a quick check. I love discovering new titles, even though my TBP list, well, I don't know if I will have enough years of life to get through it. Especially that I can't help myself replaying my favourites. Grim Dawn looks interesting in particular, I put it in my 'want' list on stash. It's a good way for any gamers out there to keep track and rate your games same way we do here with books. It's a phone app and has want, playing and played tabs, you can tick things as completed or in progress and rate them plus create any other custom lists you like. As I tend to have many titles going at the same time and rotate between them, it's nice to have that resource to remind myself what I have currently started.
I'm currently playing Shenmue 2 on PS4, my first time playing this series. I loved the first game, exploring Japan with the added nostalgia of the 90's and 90's graphics at it's best, the daily/hourly cycle in the game was impressive. I loved it more and more as I played, the combat was fun and I enjoyed learning new moves as I went along, there isn't enough fighting games with a good story out there so that one is a gem. The game has a bit of a whacky sense of humour with the way things turn out, I found myself enjoying my daily routine in town, and by the time forklifts came on the scene I knew this was going to be an instant favourite, and I would have never assumed I would enjoy riding forklifts that much haha. But when it comes to the second game, it's still immersive and pretty in terms of environment but it feels like the game is fighting me from trying to enjoy it. Fighting is tedious, quests are tedious, I am hoping the third one will be better and back to it's roots. Have any of you played this series? Did you have similar thoughts on Shenmue 1 vs 2?
Other than that, I'm playing Overcooked 2 with my husband after having finished the first game, again, I prefer the first game. I restarted the original Resident Evil over Xmas with my dad. We also play Age of Empires 2 multiplayer with my dad and husband. I'm completing the final DLC to Spell Force 1 (a blend of RTS and RPG). Started Outward with my hubby, it's a good co-op RPG with a focus on survival. I played it by myself before but gotten a bit bored as the quests are few and far between, it's more about exploration, it feels more fun playing with someone, looks like I'm in charge of cooking, boiled berries anyone? :P I started some other games recently, gotten many on sales on GOG, at CEX or as Xmas gifts and on top of that Epic games were giving games away for free this Xmas... I also love playing an old MMO RPG focusing on puzzles in a pirate world, Puzzle Pirates, free on steam. I still love those puzzles after many years, you have a ship, go for pillages and gather booty but each task on a ship is a different, collaborative puzzle, if anyone would like to play together, give me a shout :D Another pirate game, with Stardew Valley vibes is Arcane Waters, which I got on Early Acess, pixel art, farming, land and sea combat. I am hoping to get back to Sims 3, in which I am building a large town from a few years now, heavily modded, anything I think the game should have, I search for a mod for it 😅. And I would like to get back to Skyrim after a few months break, since the update troubles on PS4, I'm praying my save file will work.. Again, heavily modded, hence the issue, as the updates are always fighting the mods.
Regarding the chat above between a few of you regarding children, maybe the 90's were more relaxed or maybe it was my parents but between the ages of 6-10 years old or so, I played and grew up on games like Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, Baldur's Gate, Tekken, Soul Calibur, Broken Sword and things like The Sims or RollerCoaster Tycoon, or Dungeon Keeper 2, in which you play the evil side and put together a cosy dungeon to attract creatures to fight for you and help you destroy the good side, very quirky sense of humour. How about the gamers on here, what games have you grew up on or first played?
Happy New year to you all, hope it's treating you well so far.
Puzzle Pirates - https://store.steampowered.com/app/99... (tetris clone sword fighting is my favourite)
Arcane Waters - https://store.steampowered.com/app/12... (free demo, you can get to a certain level or stay within a starting location with this and see if you like this MMO RPG)
My Stash lists - https://stash.games/users/mauqan, it works best when viewed on the phone.
If anyone is into trailers here goes: (hiding under spoiler to shorten the message preview) (view spoiler)

Also... does anyone here play Animal Crossing New Horizons?

The Dragon Age lore, at least in the first game, is nowhere near as rich and varied as the Forgotten Realms, and they made it dark and gritty, which means lots of mud and it smells like wet dog (there's a running gag in the game about that). But the gameplay is very much like the Infinity Engine games, with the same kind of strategies and full party control (though you can only have 3 other party members). Not quite as many options, and you can see where they seem to have cut planned features -- you can find blank scrolls as loot, but you can't scribe spells onto them like you can in the older games, so they serve no purpose but to sell as junk.
It has a good story and characters, each with their own loyalty quest, and I enjoyed it a lot, so I'd definitely recommend it (at least the first one) to a fan of Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale.

The third playthrough for BG, but stuff happened and never managed to finish it. Last time, I lost the saves :D
Played also MA 1 and 2 and Dragon Age Origins. Yes, DA is good and is kind of homage to classical crpgs, simplified somehow for "modern" audiences.

I'm not playing currently, but I have a save I go back to from time to time. Games that demand pretty much daily interaction become a chore pretty quickly, though I love almost everything else about the game.
+1 for Dragon Age. Great series.
My farm just entered year 2 in Stardew.

Have gotten into solo board-gaming as a way to give myself fun puzzles to solve.
Also starting back up on doing the NYT crossword puzzle, I had a streak going years ago and I thought it'd be fun to give it another go.

I started a NY Times crossword streak (for some of the easier days) at the start of the pandemic. So every time I finish another one I'm told how long it's been since the pandemic hit here. I never thought that the number would get this high.

Thanks, it sounds good, I will definitely play it. Sounds like it has that BioWare RPG feel, similar to their Forgotten Realms series, despite being set in a different world. Lately I've been a bit slow with games, watching and reading more, hopefully can play more soon as there is a lot on the to be played list!
I guess that happens often, some unfinished quests in larger RPG's. Often people create mods and patches to fix that, I know there were such fixes for Baldur's Gate. What are you playing at the moment?

Ugh, I hate when saves get lost/broken. How far have you gotten in this BG playthrough? Was that your first time playing Mass Effect? Have you gotten onto the 3rd yet or Andromeda? Will definitely give DA a try soon :))

I might give solo board gaming a try too, not sure how I would like it though, large part of the fun of board games is the group dynamics, shared laughs and snacks. But I always had more board and card games than I had people who enjoy playing them :p. Might have to look for a club nearby also 🤔

At the moment I'm just occasionally playing Sicari Remastered and a little WoW, but I do have a Divinity: Original Sin game in progress that I'll be getting back to!

Same because I bought the game back in summer 2019 and I haven't finished yet, lol.

I consider "finished" in most games is whenever the end credits show. Anything beyond that is optional bonus content.

Yep, I agree.
And as of BotW, I still have a lot of secondary quests and shrines to go. And I haven't fought Gannon yet, lol. I take it reaaaaally easy.

Persona 5 is one of my favourites. I even got the platinum on PS4 after 170 hours of gameplay and I haven't been the same since then (I'm messed up in the head lol).
How is Coffee Talk going? I feel like it's a relaxing game and I am in need of those lately.
