I just finished simmons’s Terror, and before that Swan Song. Without killing me, I didn’t particularly care for either. Both very long, relatively boring, and had a hard time connecting with the characters. I have 4 books (more, but 4 I’m considering) that I would like a little swaying towards reading:
The Outsider - King Firestarter - King too Carrion Comfort - Simmons Kill Creek - Thomas
I also have Under the dome, and the Talisman which I have yet to crack.
What do you guys (and gals) think? I realize a couple are short and I could probably just knock them out, but I want to read something good!
I don't think you can go wrong with King personally, but as far as The Outsider goes, it's been suggested that you read the Bill Hodges trilogy first because of all the spoilers in The Outsider. If you didn't read the trilogy and don't plan to, then it won't matter. :-) Happy Reading!
