Ian Hi everyone. New to Good reads and just seen details of this group. I always aim for 50+ books in a year and try to bring extra variety by looking to read a new author for each letter if the alphabet, each year. Been doing this for over 10 years. Found some great authors and some shockers that way. Top reads this year so far... Monsignor Quixote (Graham Green) and The Ice Palace by Tarjei Vesaas. Currently reading Sacred Hunger by Barry Unsworth. Hope I can contribute to your group.

Hi, Ian. Welcome to Goodreads and to our group :)

I've moved your thread over to the F-J folder for you. Whenever you finish a book you want to keep track of, just come back to this thread (in the F-J folder) and add to it.

I love the idea of reading a new author for each letter of the alphabet -- you must have discovered a ton of authors this way!

Ian Thanks. hadn't quite got the hang of the folders. The alphabet method took me out of the groove of familiar authors and, keeping it going every year, has really opened me to authors I would never normally read. Been a fun way of finding new authors - though my friends all think me a bit eccentric!
