What's the last book you read that you were extremely disappointed in? I finished The Sparrow yesterday and was slightly disappointed in it; I know its a favorite of many, but I had a hard time with it. I still gave it four stars, because I loved the characters and felt somewhat vested in their lives, but the book was not an easy read for me.
I also read Mr. Mercedeslast weekend and was extremely disappointed. I actually had to force myself to finish it, it was a good book, but it was not a typical Stephen King - no shock and awe, basically. It was more or less a mystery, and there were times I actually forgot it was a King book I was reading.
Not lately, but also Stephen King, sad to say. I was disappointed with the way Under the Dome ended. I don't want to post a spoiler, but it just wasn't my ideal ending. I actually felt like he just said "oh what the heck, I'll just do it this way and call it good." :P I've been watching the show on CBS and didn't care for it at first, but they have totally changed it and tonight actually may have made me decide I like the show better. I think it may be going where I would have liked the book to go.
