Hiya, Team Caps! Thanks for volunteering to guide your team through a round of BookShelf Bingo!

Your job, should you choose to accept it, will require a few things:
1 ~ Be our go-to person should we have any questions about your team
2 ~ Organize your teammate's weekly reads for each shelf/category so that the BSB Ninjas can quickly and easily verify and approve your stamp request(s)
2a ~ Create a master list in a post (preferably on the first page of your team's thread) and update it weekly or as often as necessary
2b ~ Post your team's stats on the Captain's Log prior to requesting a stamp
3 ~ Encourage and motivate your team (you may also ask to borrow Judithe's whip whenever necessary)
4 ~ Post regularly to ensure your team is communicating and on track each week
4a ~ Send them a PM and friendly poke if they haven't posted at least once a week, noted their book choice, and/or appear to have dropped out of webspace
5 ~ Send us a PM (Steph, Sandra or Judithe) should you need us for any reason throughout the game

Hi Cat. it's easy, don't worry.
You could say I ma a Bingo veteran, since I don't remember how many times I played it. 5-6 times for sure. :D

As for captain role: I did it once, but I would rather skip it because RL knows to get in a way and I sometimes don't have time to log in everyday to Goodreads.

How about you Nikk & Amy? Would any of you like to be captain?

I think this might be my third time playing. Never been captain though. I can do it if no one else wants it but happy for Amy to have first option

edit: Also I am in an Aussie time zone which may wreak havoc with check in times

Youch! That’s usually the case for most challenges I seem to do.

so, to make sure I am with it.... on Wednesday at ungodly o'clock UK time, Sandra will spin a wheel or throw a dart or something & announce a shelf.

when I wake I need to find a book that fits that shelf and start reading it?
said book needs to be at least 200 pages, and not a graphic novel.
I should come here & say what I'm reading
Then, on finishing, return here, review & report it.

Everyone else is doing the same, and when all four of us have reported, the captain lets the Mods know in a thread somewhere & we get a stamp & wait for the next spin of the wheel?

Yep, nicely summed up Cat.

I suggest you pick a Free Space book now & generally it is good to get it out of the way as soon as you can.

All books in Bingo can be used for any other challenges you may be in, so it should be easy to find a Free Space book, as long as you follow the rules. Easiest way is to find a book on the Group Bookshelf - over 5000 of them to choose from :)

Yes Cat that's it. Also, when you tell us which book you are reading, you can write how it fits the criteria for that shelf.
It's not mandatory, but I personally find it easier. Or else, I sometimes forget how/where I found it and have to double check. And if it was book #1042 on the list it takes time. :)

BTW I have sent a PM to Amy, so hopefully she will check in soon.

It took me WAY too long to finally chill, unfortunately, so I only had half a holiday left to actually take advantage of being on holiday. But I do feel less like maiming people.

Good thing I'm only working for 1 1/2 week before I'm off on a loong weekend again! ;-) I can already hear the Tower Bridge calling me hehe.

I thought you were over in London soon - that'll be fun!

Though my favourite of London's bridges is Blackfriars Bridge. the bridge is an actual train station! it's the only tube stop with exits on each side of the river! it's the largest solar powered bridge in the world! and you can see the Victorian bridge supports still! Modern & heritage!

I get a leeetle overexcited.... :)

I will grant you that it's less pretty than Tower Bridge

If it's the time difference that worries you, Dragana, I can gladly tell you from experience that it isn't an issue :-)

I usually captain even though I'm sleeping when it's time for the shelf call. Either I post it in the morning when I wake up or someone else posts it when they pop in before my alarm goes off. All good!
