Goodreads Authors/Readers discussion

Hello all.

I wanted to stop by and talk to you guys about a book I released about 5 months ago, "Cluck The UnderCover Chicken."

Like many authors out there dreaming of doing this for a living, this was truly a labor of love. I wrote the book based on the stories I told my son when he was younger (as well as the urging on by my lovely spouse). I wanted to write something different, since my other work (especially my 1st and 3rd books) were more adult oriented.

I have received some excellent reviews on the book on amazon and here on Goodreads. But it saddens me a smidge, because while I know it is very difficult to get to the point where writing can make one a living, "Cluck" holds a special place in my heart. I am proud on how it breaks the "4th wall", especially for a book directed at middle graders (even though a lot of adults like it a lot as well). How it allowed an unknown illustrator a chance to show his work to the world. Life in the world today is a mess, and I was most proud that "Cluck" could provide a little bit of distraction to readers.

So I ask for folks to check out "Cluck." It's a book that doesn't deserve to fade away...instead, it needs to live and prosper and make people smile.
