Finished the book today. I grew up with the Johnny Depp version of the movie and have seen it a couple of times (and enjoyed it). I haven't read the book until now and om glad I did. It is funny!

I enjoyed this more than I did when I was a kid. Possibly because I read aloud to my kid and he enjoyed it immensely. It's pretty fun.

I just finished reading the book and loved it as much as I did the first time I had read it as a child and then again with my friend's daughter a few years ago. Haven't read the Great Glass Elevator though; starting to read it now.
