Just a friendly reminder, each team will find out on Wednesday what 4 characters they will be starting with on October 1st. That way everyone can plan out what they want to read. You will still have to complete 4 categories for each character though.

Other than that, each team has their own SS. Please let me know if you can't access it before October 1st!

Yeah, sorry about that. It was much easier to add them on the teams SS then adding them to each thread yesterday. I was just so busy at work ☹️ However once a character is finished I will mention the new character on the chat threads. I can’t wait for work to slow down next month.

How are we going to plan our reads? Mark it ourselves in SS?
I looked through our characters and I would love to read “They both die at the end” for Doctor Facilier (shadow on the cover) and “Starry eyes” for Ratcliffe (Tittle has R A T in it). Is that’s okay?

You can claim a category for a character that you are planning to start reading in October. Just remember, we only need 4 categories complete to finish a character off. I read pretty fast so I can just wait till I'm done with a book and claim a category or put it on the banked tab. I know everyone reads at different paces - so, I was wondering if anyone would get upset if books get moved around? Whether it's to a different category that hasn't been completed or to the banked tab? That way if someone else finishes a book for a category that hasn't been completed yet - we could just move the book to complete the character??

I don't know if any of that made sense because I'm running low on sleep and coffee right now!

I plan on putting up the books I have for Clayton and Prince Hans tonight. I don't have anything else planned for the other two characters to my knowledge.

Would it be alright since work is slowing down and I will be reading faster if I can just put my books in the banked area and if it can fill a category we can just use it then.

Added 3 books into categories that I've been planning to read for October. Will do the same and put my reads in the banked section.

I plan to read more than 3 books!! haha But will try to help with the categories we need as we go along.

So there's only two categories I marked. One for Ratcliff and one for Clayton. I thought I had one for Prince Hans but I dont.

Okay, not going to lie. I've been so busy with work and I know the next two days will be even busier for me. I haven't even looked for categories yet or what books will fit so I will definitely add them as I go for the next two days. Plus I will be doing the scores.

Just wanted to let you know that I will probably be a bad teammate tomorrow and Tuesday.. but after that, I will be AMAZING :D

To get more points (looking at last month challenge) we kinda need BR. I think we can do some buddy reads in our group if we see someone reading the book you have also in TBR. Just a thought. :)

I’ll request BR for at least one of my book. :) Might be lucky. :)

I have 5 or 6 BRs planned for this month and their all series with 3-5 books

Anyway my first BR starts tomorrow. And I'm hoping to have it done by Tuesday

I've marked my October TBR books in the list of books (in SS), just to see what characters it could match.
But if in a future it'll need to be moved, that's totally fine. :) It's just easier to plan my TBR this way,

By the way, I've started for Doctor Facilier 'Shadow on a cover' today. And I'm already 40 percent done. Kinda hocked, so I am pretty sure I'll finish it tonight.

So do we get extra points for Buddy Reads? Like, we should read buddy read books together, or is the point to start your own buddy read and do it with people outside of the team?

First time doing this, I'm probably overthinking it haha!

You can BR with people outside the team, but BR has to be in this group. We get double points for BR.

You’re more than welcome to mess with the SS. It’s just easier to make the 10 teams pretty simple since everyone likes to do something different with formulas.

Okay almost finished with my first BR. Might have to bank it till later because I don't think it fits any of the characters we have now but I'll double check with the SS before I bank it.
