Hmmm, wondering if I should put my Strange the Dreamer under Clayton's green cover? It fits two other harder categories (author initials in Gothel, and Grimhilde - wings on cover), but there is no guarantee that we will get those characters again and it is worth more points as a book of the month.

Any suggestions?

Sorry I was MIA for a bit. I ended up with bronchitis and a sprained ankle all at once so I was out of commission for awhile. But I have finished 4 books so I'm gonna get the reviews written up and check out the spreadsheet to see where they can fit!

@Alaina I'm still limping around but at least I can breathe now without dying lol. So I consider that a plus!

I think that you are right. It might be better to just use whatever category fits now since we may not even get the other ones.

Aww, I hope that you feel better. Bronchitis is nasty business, but limping about must make that ten times worse. -hugs-

@Vanessa aww thank you! Yeah, I was telling everyone that if it was one or the other I could manage, but the fact that they happened literally in the same weekend I was like just done lol

It looks like both Doctor Facilier & Clayton are completed. So 2 more characters will be opening!

I've got two reviews to write that should help us get 2 new characters.

We should get 3 new characters today!! Hopefully, we will be able to use up some of our banked books.

Hey Ladies, I think we should consider using some of our passes for:

1) Maleficent - horns on cover....unless there are several of us with dragon books (since dragons usually have horns) on our currently reading list. I've looked through all my TBR's and I don't have any with blatant horns on the cover that I want to read right now. I also perused Kindle Unlimited for a short book I could finish up quickly, but nothing jumped out at me.
and

2) Jafar - book published in 1992. I do have one on my TBR, but I would have to wait to get a transfer from the library AND it's a long book so it will take me a while to get it done. If we use a pass now, we'd get a new character and not have to revisit this subcategory if we pull Jafar again.

What do you think???

I was able to use Strange the Dreamer for Scar's racism - triple points for it since it is a BOM!

I was reviewing which books I'm likely to finish for the last 10 days of the month, and it is going to be hard to find spots for them since most of the generic categories are gone. I might be able to move some things around. I just try not to do that too much so as not to annoy our mods.

What do you guys have left on your TBRs?

Ugh, I didn't get to read as much as I hoped over the weekend - too many family obligations. Hopefully, I can kick my butt in gear and finish up a few more books this week.

I will have my reviews posted tonight for:
Maleficent - Letters F, I, R, E in title (any order)
Scar - Features a crown prince

Jennifer - how close are you to finishing The Forbidden City? Because I have one finished that works for bullying in Gaston and we could be done with that character. But if you're close I'll just bank mine :)

Jenn!!! Please take that spot! Forbidden City is the bane of my reading list at the moment. It's just so disorganized and boring! I keep putting it aside to read other, more entertaining books. So yes, PLEASE take that spot!

true hahaha, finally managed to bank a couple of books but I think reading so much in September has definitely made me worse for wear at the moment!

I picked up a couple audiobooks to fill some of our remaining categories. I'll also try to finish Mistborn for Gothel - thief within the next couple of days.

As always, if you have a book that will fit a category that I've claimed, feel free to bump me out of the way.
