Just a friendly reminder, each team will find out on Wednesday what 4 characters they will be starting with on October 1st. That way everyone can plan out what they want to read. You will still have to complete 4 categories for each character though.

Other than that, each team has their own SS. Please let me know if you can't access it before October 1st!

There's a box on the SS called current characters. It's on the right side of the tracking tab, by the page points. I can color the characters if you'd like?

Found it. Thanks. :) Although coloring the characters names on the left is probably a good idea.

Alright I took 2 spots to start with. Will also be reading The Burning World on the 3rd but can't see how it would work yet for these 4. but if anyone else sees where to stick it let me know. Otherwise I'll bank it when I finish.

Posted 1 book so I claimed another on the sheet.

Just a thought: what if people gave multiple categories for their books, maybe on the banked tab, rather than claiming a category now, mainly so we aren't waiting on people to finish their books to finish a character and then for example on Man we currently have 6 people who have claimed a spot, we will then know where else that book can fit if it doesn't get finished before the character does. Does that make sense?

It is fine if I think if people are taking spots up to the first 4 spots. But after that, unless they cannot go anywhere else I would bank them. If someone else finishes a book that can go in a spot another has claimed and no other spot will work for one of our current villians than I would say call it out on the thread here and if they are close to finishing and do within about 24 hours let them keep it. Otherwise take it. Especially if we can flip. Some books have very few options of where/how to fit. So I'd say when possible, try to find somewhere else. And if it fits multiple other categories not yet open, just wait.

But also I would say DO NOT claim a book you are not currently reading!!! And if you are a slow reader, only take 1 spot. And readers like you who are stronger can take more.

We just need to communicate. And also pay attention to who has spots already.

So there are pros/cons to your idea. I am in the middle.

The other bad thing is sometimes I don't know what all a book might fit until after the book is finished.

Very true, I usually will just add more lines as I read until I can find someone we currently have that it applies to. Haha

Maybe we should link (add book button) to the books we are reading on this thread so if someone else had ideas where it can go (especially if they have read it) we can add those options to the banked tab for them :)

So for example I am reading & that I have claimed spots for. If you see other places I can use them add let me know of even add it to the banked tab. :)

Other books I am reading but not as far along or as prioritized are & these are not on the SS yet

I would also say using banked books more as once we only need 1 more book posted to close it out. So for example if you CR book works for Man (human) so if one more person posts and that is the last spot we need, just comment here. If Emelie were to say she is almost done that day or something and doesn't have many other options we can wait but if she doesn't respond or says it will be at least a couple days then take it.

Speaking of... @Emelie, I tried looking on your profile for Rivals to see if it might fit under Racliffe (we need 2 more there) possibly. BUt it doesn't show that as currently reading. Are you actively reading this book? ALso who wrote it/can you link it? Rivals is such a common thing to search for here. Thanks!

Please bank if you are not actively reading it. This holds people up. Brittany is reading a book now that can use that spot and she is our strongest reader.

I honestly haven't even look at your team's SS since I wrote that I would. Got swamped with work stuff unfortunately. I will take a look now to see where things can go and/or move stuff.

Okay, so I've added Emily's Kraken book to Mother Gothel - which would make her complete. Then her 3 other books are in Mor'du - surprise, your new character! So you only need one more category to complete him. I also moved your NOS4A2 book to Clayton - green cover :)

I will add all of her books when I do scores.. which will be in a couple of hours.

Hello everyone. Good thing I just finished another book as well xD

I'm really lost with this spreadsheet. there is just so much on it and I cant find anywhere to put any books.

I am not really sure how others are doing it, but I would assume it is similar to the way I do it. I will go through and see if there is a category that the book I am currently reading fits in, if there is I just put my book name by it. If there isn't I add it to the banked books tab and add character names next to it so I know which character it will fit under once we get a new one. If I know i am not going to finish the book for a while then I will just add it to the banked category so I am not taking up too many spots for other people. I also don't add ones I am not currently reading so we have spaces open for others because we have quite a few banked books.
