Just a friendly reminder, each team will find out on Wednesday what 4 characters they will be starting with on October 1st. That way everyone can plan out what they want to read. You will still have to complete 4 categories for each character though.

Other than that, each team has their own SS. Please let me know if you can't access it before October 1st!

I didn't play the last challenge so I'm a bit at a loss. Can someone help guide me?

Welcome Vicki! The last challenge will has been super fun, so I'm really excited. The first comment in the sign-up thread explains how the challenge will work. Even though it says the challenge will be the same as last month, they also repeated the rules. But if you have any questions just ask!

Thanks, Caroline. I signed up for 4 books in the SS or is that too many at once? I have some books planned that fit those categories. But I also don't want to be selfish and take spots others might need.

Hm, what do other people think about how many slots to sign up for at once? I think it probably depends on how many people are active and how fast each person reads. e.g. we have 16 slots right now, so if all six of us are active we can't have 4 each. But it could make sense for the faster readers to use more. It usually takes me about a week to finish a book, and I know a lot of people here are faster than that.

Maybe that was a bit too ambitious. LOL I saw all the various categories and thought we had all of those to fill. I'll only sign up for two then until others pick the ones that work best for them.

Is it okay if I sign up two books for the same villain?

Two from the same villain sounds perfect, since as soon as we finish one character we get a new one. So it is actually better to read multiple from the same villain rather than spreading them out.

There are no check ins :) You just post your review on the review thread and then I will let you know when you get a new character.

Yes.. and sort of? You wont be getting a repeat of the character until you've gone through all of the characters once. So when you get a character that you have already complete 4 categories for, you only have to do the 4 categories that are left.

This is my first rodeo with this challenge, so I'm a little in the dark. I'll go by what you all say, so I guess we finished man. If we finish a character that we (I) have signed up for but haven't read yet, then what?

If the character is already done, you can move it to another character that we have (highlighted in yellow) or the new character we get, or if you finish it and it doesn’t fit in those spots, you can put it in the banked books tab :)

Kite Runner is taking me longer than usual - I am about 30% done. If anyone needs to move it feel free, but I should finish it in the next few days.

No worries, we're a team so I'll add it later. I'm pretty used to how this works now but I thought we had to have a yellow character space so when we were given a new character yesterday I had a perfect spot for my book. I read the best historical fiction book about a young Jewish woman who was put in an insane asylum but she was sane, and a woman named Elizabeth Cochran who was also sane but got herself put in the asylum to cover a story about it to see if rumors were true. Elizabeth worked for Joseph Pulitzer for whom the Pulitzer Prize was named, so I found it really interesting. Anyway I was going to put her under "pretends to be someone she isn't" but I waited and that spot got taken. Thankfully it fits in Prince Hans though so it all worked out. LOL

BTW the book, if anyone is interest, is . Go to the page and read "ABOUT PAULETTE MAHURIN" and you'll see all her accolades and what a good author she is. I'm so glad she offered me to read her book!
