Oh this is difficult. I'd rather own any of them then none. But I'm thinking of a puppy next. So puppy it is.

Not read any books for a week. I can make do.
(But if there's good company (other than books) then library it is.)

Okay... Seriously answering, a dark place. I'm comfortable in a dark place and my eyes don't betray in the same.

The later... I would on the fan or open the windows, and I have a really high temperature for my normal one, at least compared to other it's more.
