Finish Line 2018?!?
date
newest »

Hello again, wonderful readers!
I'm now going to begin going through old lists and moving the ones that are obviously done for the year to our Finish Line folders. What does "obviously done for the year" mean? If the list is over a year old and hasn't been added to, or if the list owner has started a new one since then. For example, I've moved one from 2017 that hadn't been commented on since 2017; or, if you have a 2018 list that's still in our main alphabetical folders, but you've also started a 2019 list, then I'll consider your 2018 list done. (Also, if someone has an old list and is no longer a member of our group, I assume the list can be moved.)
As I've said before, this is just to keep our folders tidy. I'm not grumbling about "Darnit, it's the new year, make a new list," and I'm not scolding anyone for not moving lists. No wagging fingers here; just a little bit of housekeeping.
And to reiterate, lists that have been moved can still be added to, and bookmarks will still go to the correct place, so you don't have to worry about your list getting lost. Also, if you aren't done with your list and want it back in the regular alphabetized folders, just follow the instructions in the post above for moving it back.
Feel free to send me a message or ask here if you have questions or need clarification. Back to our reading! :)

To move your list when you're ready, click the little "edit" link next to your discussion thread's title. On the next page, in the folder drop-down box, select the Finish Line 2018 folder, then hit save. You can still add to your thread once it's been moved, and any bookmarks to the thread will still go to the proper discussion.
You don't need to move your discussion thread if you're not ready, and you are definitely welcome to keep reading! The folder is merely there and ready for anyone who wants to have the thrill of saying they've crossed the finish line for the year :)
If you're not sure how to move your thread, or don't want to screw up, or just don't feel like doing it, no problem. I usually go through all of the lists in the first few months of the next year and move the ones I can tell are done. (And if your challenge isn't for the calendar year and your goal doesn't end until sometime in the following year, don't worry: I leave those right where they are.) Again, they can still be added to, and bookmarks will still go to the correct place, so you don't have to worry about your list getting lost.
If you have any questions, you can ask here or send me a private message.
