Wow! I didn't know how Ginny and her dad was going to fit into this. Especially surprised no investigation of that car wreck included searching the lake for another car. Like there were no tire marks or anything?... but okay, suspension of disbelief.

I have some conflict with the ending. All in all I think it was a good book.
Tragic ending for Monica, learning that her sister did in fact commit suicide. But some comfort in finding that her sister wasn't murdered. Seems this hunt could have been avoided by her parents being honest with Monica, keeping a suicide letter from her is cruel.
But it took this entire investigation for her to find it necessary to press charges against Brandon for statutory rape... Unsure if she would have ever done that had she not found out his involvement with the other girls.

Very entertaining book. I'm rating it 4 stars.

It was really good! And I never would have read it if it weren't for all of your status updates... really glad I did :)

I feel like there are so many people who I don't really know that well who could have potentially had something to do with it. Like Brandon, Carly or even Tom. Tom hasn't really been mentioned as much so I am starting to lean away from him actually being involved to just speculating that something else was happening. (hide spoiler)]

Was just curious! I listened and it was good audio narration. But I would have finished faster by reading, no doubt.

100%: (view spoiler)[ WOW. I honestly didn't think Brandon would have anything to do with it. I also knew Ginny's father had to have something to do with it if they were looking into it that much, but I for some reason didn't think it would be the car crash and I didn't think she would be with him when it happened. Also how in the world did she make it home without anyone seeing her, she was bleeding for crying out loud. I also wish we could have gotten to read Jen's note.. (hide spoiler)]

So many new facts and details coming up and I want to piece them all together so badly! In both the past and present sections!!! This book is not going to last me very long! SO glad I have more reading time tomorrow!

WOW. That was a fantastic book. (view spoiler)[ everything was tied up and figured out which I loved. I was blown away by the realization that brandon was allie’s BF when that came up-such a crazy twist! And then the email from daphne and Monica putting together that it was Ginny’s dad, a drunk driver that really killed the other two girls-mind blown again. And as if that wasn’t enough, we get it cleared up 100% in the last chapter from Ginny’s POV that she was actually THERE! I’m so glad that was her secret, and why it meant so much to her to help Monica solve this. This whole thing kept me reading nonstop!! (hide spoiler)]

I am about halfway through. Hoping to finish tonight. I have 2 more books I wanted to finish before month end and are buddy reads. Hoping it picks up a little bit here.

Chap 11 (view spoiler)[ It is an interesting book so far but not one I am emotionally involved with. I don't really are what happened and keep having to keep character names straight which doesn't happen when I really get into a story. I do not like how it was kind of dismissive about both statutory rape and one girl not remembering her first time having sex which is also non-consent. (hide spoiler)]

Chap 15 (view spoiler)[ Well the ending of 15 pissed me off. Brandon is an adult and as such should never try to shift balm onto a child who is technically not old enough to consent to sex with an adult. (hide spoiler)]

Chap 18 (view spoiler)[ Glad they figure out the drug angle and Ethan for being somewhat creepy and writing the list at least does not take advantage of girls so points there. This book has a fairly low bar for points though. (hide spoiler)]

Done. (view spoiler)[ Glad everyone agreed that Brandon was a pedophile. I did see something coming with him as usually pedophile are also murderers in these types of books. I started to wonder if Ginny's father was dead and that is why she knew where he was. However, I did not see that last chapter coming with the other car. I still think these are likely some of the most incompetent cops ever seen in fiction but there you go. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 19
(view spoiler)[ well i am almost done this book and have to say I still do not care for it. Unless in the last few chapters something big happens it prob wont get more than 3 stars from me. Like her stepdad finds her snooping and knows now she stole the phone and nothing comes of it? I would have been in so much shit if I had pulled something like that. I also feel bad for her, her mom clearly doesnt show affection towards her like she does her brother. It isnt her fault her sister died (hide spoiler)]
