#2 of Thursday Next series has it. #BOOM!"
I missed that one. I did find a lovely nonfiction book about dolphins that my library has.

Word in text - Brittany
Word in title /series Jan
Word on cover - calendar definitely works, will come back with more options after more of the captains check in to approve/disapprove the current ideas
Word as genre - #2 of Thursday Next series if anyone wants to read it, I found one book that would work if no one else claims this
I'll get the planning spreadsheet updated later this evening (after I decided which of my two audiobooks to start next). Either would work for our unclaimed O.

Urge, what’s frustrating is also that since we are one of the first team to get this word, whoever gets it in Week Four will be able to steal our ideas 😉
An update on The Titan’s Curse: I haven’t started it yet, and at this point I think it makes more sense to start something long for next week instead. I will remove it from the spreadsheet.

I got mine too! But I haven’t decided whether to read it for THURSDAY, or start it when the BOM starts and finish it for the week after.

Yes. I have a couple of titles for that. I'll post those and some other ideas in a bit. My brains a little fried at the moment. I'm currently alternating being keeping my youngest on task with his school and helping my senior with trig.

-calendar on the cover
-character named Thursday on the cover

-Thor on cover
Possible options under discussion:
-Thor's hammer on cover
-football player or stadium at night

Wow. Respect.
Having just a 3rd grader is hard, but you are the master!

Details on spreadsheet.
I had somehow never read this before, for all that it's a classic. It was quite good!

This was a rough reading week for me. We had a potluck a..."
I know the feeling! I've had to be out of the office a bunch this week so I lost a lot of my sit at work and screw around on goodreads time. I can't wait for the holiday week next week

Finished

I love Clay and Elena! It's been fun rereading these books this week. It's been a few years since I last read the series.

The planning spreadsheet has been updated for week 3 spellings of Thursday.
Countdown to end of week 2 / start of week 3

It's fun to find them, and if I need to go back and double check something, they give me a visual marker of where to find different types of information.

It's Friday!! Please double check the books you have planned, and let us know which if any you will not finish so we can shuffle books around if needed. (Brittany, your two remaining books are Catwoman Soulstealer and Grave Peril).

Of Sorrow and Such will be done today, and Hammered will be done tonight or possibly in the morning.

Catwoman: Soulstealer by Sarah J. Maas
Date: 11/9/18
works for a L: Luke Fox of B: Batwing"
Nice! I marked it Read on the spreadsheet for you.
How was the book? Any good?

I enjoyed it. I felt like it had a good mix of SJM world and the DC universe. I loved having more of the empathetic relationship between Catwoman, Poison Ivy & Harley Quinn. The beginning was a little bit slow, but that is pretty normal for Maas, once the book takes off, it just soars. I loved Wonder woman, batman fell a bit flat and this was a good follow.

I haven't yet read any Maas. I have Throne of Glass, I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

And has anyone heard from Megan?

And has anyone heard from Megan?"
Sorry I hope I'm not letting anyone down. I think I'm only going to get 5 in this week. The cruise was miserable I got food poisoning on the first night and it went downhill from there. If it hadn't been for the friends I was with I think I would have jumped overboard lol Plus, I got Devil in the Grove: Thurgood Marshall, the Groveland Boys, and the Dawn of a New America from the library in the mail while I was gone so I had to read that first thing because it's not renewable. It was a very detailed, information packed book, very sloooow reading. I'm so glad I read it but I'm also extremely glad to be finished with it! I'll post what I have so far.

Home Sweet Murder

Scarlet Toys

Devil in the Grove: Thurgood Marshall, the Groveland Boys, and the Dawn of a New America
Book: Devil in the Grove by Gilbert King
Completed: 9 Nov 2018
Pages: 434
Fits: D in title
I updated my changes on the spreadsheet since I had other books listed. I should have the two "O"'s done by morning. Sorry I wasn't able to read as much this week. Devil in the Grove really slowed me down...

Thanks! I'm just glad I have good friends and I'm sorry that some of them got sick as well. No shrimp for a very long time hahaha

Sorry about the trip. Glad you made it back OK. Don't worry about the books. Life happens and plans change. I'm glad you had the time to work through the slower one.

Such Stuff as Dreams: The Psychology of Fiction
I can take that if nobody else finds anything else that they have a burning desire to read (or has a higher page count for point value, or has more letter options).
