I checked with the mods. You can finish reading the book one week and include it in a spell it out, then do the discussion questions the following week as they are written and log the bom points in the week you finish the discussion.

Oh, good! That is helpful. Does it work in reverse? Like, if I do the first set of DQs this week (today/tomorrow) but don’t finish the book until next week? I don’t need to do this — I can do different sets of DQs during next week, but I’m curious...

No, you have to finish the book first.

Boo: Sally is still significantly leading us on "Difficult Letters" and they actually also have the word "CRANBERR..."

We tend to log a lot of books at the end of the week, so I expect we will at least close the gap with them this week. Our words are the same length, and we have two hard letters to their one.

Deanna | 3529 comments Finished Year of the Griffin (Derkholm, #2) by Diana Wynne Jones for my claimed Y instead of the Yancey book (which I'll read next week instead). I will update the spreadsheet after dinner.

Alysa H. | 3840 comments I have decided that I am going to read an extra, short Y book tonight — it is starting to look like we will need it, if we don’t want to leave any “difficult letters” on the table. If I somehow do not finish it by deadline tomorrow, it can roll into our next word.

Do I need to do anything for Crazy Rich Asians since it's a book of the month? i.e. answer questions

Yes, you need to answer questions/“participate” in discussion. Here is link to BOM folder:

So glad you’re back, Rebecca, truly. I hope you are around more this week, 🙂

If Danielle’s book didn’t have a “Thursday” in it, or she doesn’t find it in time, we can use Ashley’s occurrence instead (Gone Girl, yes?)

Sorry about that. I had a last minute computer crash and had to switch laptops so not everything got double checked. The error won't make any difference in the points, so I doubt the mods will care about changing it.
