It's no problem. Amazon didn't have the look inside feature for that one or I would have pulled it up for you.

Wow, Ashley, if you were wanting to read/listen to it anyway, that is cool, but I don’t want you to feel like you have to do it on account of my waffling!
Tell you what, I will read my long 100-pointer instead, just to get this decision made and keep the spreadsheet accurate, but since I expect it to be a relatively quick read (it is YA and the third book in a series from which I sped through books 1 and 2), I will also try to read another shorter “cranberry-in-text” book too, and then we can just use the book of whichever one of us finishes first. 🙂

Basically, I need to know if I can use the R for the author name in my example.

First or last name only, so M or K only for your example.

Details on Spreadsheet.
I’ve been doing BOM q&a on this as I went along. I can’t wait until the last set of DQ’s goes up — I have so many feels about the last part of this book! 🤩

DD and I went to see Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald yesterday. I can see why the critics say there are too many plotlines, and it is definitely more of a bridge between movies. I still loved it anyway. Newt and his creatures are amazing, and baby nifflers are adorable!

Also I found this Pottermore article when I went looking for a picture of nifflers, which I found quite funny.

LOL, lego Nifflers. We haven’t seen the new movie yet but my daughter has been asking about it because of the posters all over the subway. That’s where they’d undoubtedly put some Nifflers if they did that trick in NYC. 🙂

Horns by Joe Hill
The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein by Kiersten White
The Paris Seamstress by Natasha Lester
Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare

We are on Cranberry, until Saturday at 5pm EST.
I will probably also read a Cassandra Clare book at some point before Wheel is over for good!
ETA: it doesn’t look like Horns has anything that fits Cranberry — keep us posted if any character names come up! — but I added your other books to the spreadsheet.

I haven't read or watched any Harry Potter stuff, I always feel so out of the loop!

*Definitely* go ahead with Kings of the Wyld if you still think you can finish it. None of my other cranberry-in-text books are short enough to finish after I get through my 900+ page 100-pointer. I’ve started it, and I like it, but it’s... long... and my daughter is taking a lot of attention after getting a flu shot today. 🙁
If I do end up with some extra time, I will either start something for the following week, or I will read an extra Y book if needed (I have one of those that is only a little over 200 pages).

Can you double check the book you shelved? Your shelf has the hardcover edition with 399 pages, and the spreadsheet has the page count of the paperback edition of 415 pages. Let me know which is correct. Thanks.

Thanks!

It looks like Charlie and the Great Glass Eleavator is not eigible for Wheel. It is "Childrens" on the front page, and it's only 32,107 words on ARbookfind. :(

Oh ok, I assumed since my copy is over 200 pages it would be fine but didn't think about the word court.

How did you like it?"
I really liked it! A friend of mine has been recommending it for years and wasn't sure I wanted to read an alien story. But it's really well done and exciting, I definitely want to read the 2nd book soon.
