Week 6 Spin Options are out!Our choices are:

This is a fun twist to for the last week.
Goodwill will get us a ton of Difficult Letters!BUT: Although Barrel didn't get any good Difficult Letters words, Sally -- currently in the top spot already -- got COOKIES. If they choose that, and I don't see why they wouldn't, they are on track to win that category.
That being said, they seem to be adding to their spreadsheet as they go, as opposed to waiting and adding in a big chunk? So we might still sneak up on them? Maybe?
I'm in for Goodwill if you guys are!Maybe we can catch up to them if we switch to the everyone read short books plan. We can do it!
Yeah, neither of the other words give us a fighting chance, and there is zero way we can win the Traditional category. I mean, we are in like 3rd or 4th but the top two teams are just crazy higher than everybody else!The BOM fits all the words, so no trouble there. We might still win that in any case :)
Also, if we are no longer going for points, we can simply skip filling word-as-genre, etc.

When is the deadline to tell the Mods? I cannot find that written anywhere.

I'm fine with any of the words as well. Spying on Sally, they will be going with COOKIES and know that we are the only team with a chance to pass then. It will definitely be a race.

How to play
☃ For each task read you will receive points (as listed)

☃ The usual book length requirement and other rules for wheelathon apply.
☃Books used for this mini challenge do not need to be separate books for what you are claiming for your wheelathon spell-it-out. They DO need to be different to what you are claiming for your weekly bonuses (for e.g. word as MPG)
Tasks
☂☂Making an elf home☂☂
Our elves need somewhere safe to sleep once they have finished all of their toy making. Please help build them a house!
1. Make a door by reading a book of 201 pages or less (10 points)
2. Create some windows by reading a book of between 202 and 301 pages (20 points)
3. Time to put up the walls! Read a book with a brown cover that is between 301 and 500 pages (40 points)
4. Lastly we need a roof. Read a book of 501 pages or more with green writing or a green item on the cover (50 points)

5. Light the candles of a Hanukkah menorah by reading a book with a "8" in the number of pages (10 points)

Unless I am missing something, it’s not worth it since we are not going for points, just letters. The time it would take to find stuff will also cut into our remaining reading time!

Captains, on the official Lock spreadsheet, the total Difficult Letters for Week Five are not showing up for some reason.It shows "I: 2" but "Totals: 0"

It only takes a minute to check a book that someone decides to read against the list. One of my "o" audiobooks will work for #4.
Anyone that wants to use the list to help pick books for next week is more than welcome to do so. Please remember, as much as we may want to win, it's still important to have fun as well.

We don't have to fill the bonus. There are certainly plenty of other opportunities for points with the Help Save Christmas mini challenge.
