I have my last 2 on the ss going at the same time. I had to swap one out for one with the same letter, those urban fantasies were starting to kill me a little bit!

I am almost done with Changeless. I was hoping to have My True Love Gave To Me by now, but alas it's still on hold at the library (I am first in line now, dammit, but even it it comes in today, it'll probably be too late D:)
Oh well. I'm already working on another short-story anthology anyway. Reading two at once would be a bit much.

So I have a short "I" book to read instead, which I hope will fit some other letters (characters) too.

At the very least I will be done with at least 2 books in the next couple of days. S orry i haven't been as vocal. My cat was sick and then the vet said she was good and within 24 hours she is worse than before and acting like the front legs are paralyzed and I may have to say goodbye to her today, so on top of my son's 8th birthday party this weekend and work and christmas craze, my reading has been suffering. Just want you to know that I am still here

So sorry to hear about your cat. I hope the vet finds something that can help today, so you don't have yo say goodbye.

Thanks Brittany -- good luck with everything! That's awful about your cat. (My daughter's 8th birthday was about a month ago, which was all-consuming but at least further away from Xmas!)

Will you be able to get online on Saturday before the cut-off ? (It's around 4:30pm EST, to give the captains 30 min to finalize the spreadsheet before it's locked at 5pm EST.)
If not, whatever books you've finished by your last Friday moment online will have to do...

Yeah I will be online later today and most of the day tomorrow. I will post what I have done at that point before I leave work on Friday. If I can't get online on Saturday I will push books aside until the next week.

Upside down summer is fun! Mine have luckily been fitting too, I feel like I've had good luck. I'm worried all these short books for this week are going to bump me into the next category even though I won't be reading in that category the rest of the time. I'm going to have to balance it out with some longer ones after this week, I think

Me too. I have a quite long book to use for one of the 10 point tasks, and I'm waiting on a library hold for a long book for a 100 point task (so hopefully it will come in ASAP).

I also have a few things planned that are short or shortish books, but will take a while to read because they are densely written.

I don’t have anything in my 10 pointers yet, I’m hoping I can fit this one I’m reading now down there somewhere. I really need to find the 100 point ones, I don’t have any yet! Lots of 50s for me so far

I also had an "O" in for this because there's an important character whose full name is Ormond Tunstell, but I took it out because I don't think he's ever called anything but Tunstell, or Mr. Tunstell, in this book.
I think his first name is stated in other books in the series. So if we end up needing that "O" in the end, the Mods may need to approve.

Is there anything on the spreadsheet that anyone doesn't think that they're going to finish that I should try to find a quick replacement for when I finish the one that I'm on now?

Short story anthologies, man. The struggle is real.

But you could wait for a couple more people to check in tomorrow too.

Anthologies kill me! I really struggled with the BOM and wanted to cry actual tears trying to finish it.

This is, somehow, the 3rd anthology I’ve read for Wheel. Never before have I read so many in such a short period of time! But the other two were better than this one. And also I am probably experiencing Anthology burnout!

I am hoping to read A Game of Thrones this month (for Upside Down Summer) but I don't think my library hold will come in time. I am too far down the list :(
Maybe I'll just buy a copy...

It's not a bad audio book. THe same narrator has read all 3 so far, so you get used to him. I prefer the physical book but this helps me get through it since I can listen while I work. It was really great revisiting the qst book after so many years. I originally read it over 10 years ago, long before a tv show was a thing haha

I will check out the audio. But maybe I should just wait to read the book(s) until after the last season of the show airs in 2019. I know the books and the show diverge greatly along the way, so I think waiting could help me keep everything separate in my head.

We'll see!

Yeah there is a bit of divergence or a change of characters that do certain things and lack of a few characters for sure haha

@Brittany — are you online again before the end? I guess if you’re not, you won’t see this until it’s too late! Captains can’t post your stuff if you can’t check in. I think that’s what happened last week — you said on Thurs or Fri that you would definitely finish Dark Descent in time... which you technically did, but since you weren’t able to get online to confirm, it couldn’t be used :(

Deanna mentioned earlier this week that answering at least half of the DQ’s should be sufficient. So, however many that is! :)

Morning all! Can't believe this is the last day.

I have to take WW: Warbringer off the list. My father in law had a stroke so the last few days have been really stressful and busy and not really conducive to reading. I will get my other two audiobooks done since I don't have much left on them.

Hi Jan, sorry to hear about your father-in-law. I'm hoping for a speedy full recovery for him. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts.

I was just looking at extra challenge tasks and noticed that we have done quite well on them. For #22 do we know if that is strict on the word "religious" or could it also be religion. I found a book that is tagged 12 times for religious and 34 times for religion.
