I got four hours off work in the morning because the ER was overstaffed and I was granted the comp and slept a couple more hours before going to work. It worked out.

I think we were in fourth place but have dropped to ninth place in past couple of weeks. We don't have a lot of team participation in BOM's like some other teams and our co-captain has been sick too. Life happens. Just have fun reading. The friendly competition has lead me to have read more than I had anticipated.

I posted my book in books read thread - The Art of Fielding, and it can work for all letters except N. Also good points - it was over 500 pages.

I’m doing the BOM for this month but it doesn’t start until the last day of this week’s challenge so won’t work until next week. So now I’m just focusing on books I want to read and have already read 5 for this week

I think this next week we pick our word of three choices - cookies, eggnog, or fruitcake.
I would think cookies may be easiest? Eggnog has so many g's.

Cookies will be easier to find on a cover and in a title. Plus I have a book for genre already

Doing well this week and we have a couple of run throughs now. Could probable use some more O’s(no surprise there 😂) but if everyone keeps reading like they are, we should head into the last week with a solid score

Cookies works for me as well. And will definitely be doing some of those bonus challenges!

I couldn't help myself and started a tab for the bonus (sorry Nikk).

All of the the tasks are listed on the left and I started filling in obvious ones. All of our eligible books from week 1-4 are on the right (any weekly bonus point books or books already on the left side have been removed). I didn't copy over the books for this week yet.

Have a look and if there is a book of yours that fit's a bonus task, feel free to move it from the list on the right to the tasks on the left.

I am pretty sure we can only use books we finish in week 6 and use in our week 6 spell out for the mini challenge. At least that is what it says at the beginning of the mini challenge rules

I posted my last book for the week in books read thread - - which I think works for all letters except an A and an O.

On page 18 of the ebook of I have a sentence with the word cookies. It is another 500 pager too. And I have started it for our final week. I just don't know yet if it will be worth more points in another one of those extra challenge things if it fits somewhere else. I am still not quite sure how that all works?

Actually I would like to use my book for category 15 of the mini challenge - a book with four articles of clothingvin the text for 40 points for The Witch Elm.

Reading a book now that I won’t be able finish by deadline but should does fit with C and S for cookies and probably one of the extra challenges

Yes. Names are Toby and Zak in Two characters. I just can't enter on spreadsheet so Nik does it for me

I also can claim #13 - where characters get on a plane - - MC and his mother fly to Washington D.C. and then back home.

I’m not sure if my Hanukkah book will fit because so far I haven’t seen a way for it to fit in cookies. Hopefully one of my short stories will have Hanukkah from the BOM if I can use it for both

I also will finally finish Stones from the River, and it can count for #21. It has 525 pages in my paperback copy, another door stopper I have been reading off and on throughout the challenge. It is such a good book.

Nikk - can you add that one for me too. Probably won't finish until Saturday though. But I will do it. I am reading a book to my daughter, a kindle book, an audio book, and a real book.

I finished , the new release from Tana French, and alltough I like the Dublin Murder Squad series, I think the is her best book I have read. I do still need to read 2 books from her series though.

Wow! I just looked at the spreadsheet and there are only four bonus tasks that haven't been claimed. How awesome is that! Fingers crossed I'll get my current book done and maybe one more.

The book placed on bonus #26 was put in the wrong spot. That is supposed to be black boots on cover.

I think it's meant for #30. I have a book on that spot but I can delete it
