I pretty much went out as soon as check in hit this morning. Took my daughter out to build a bear workshop this morning. Only just got home. About to start on my first book for the week and relax for a little bit as need to take my daughter to swimming lessons in an hour and I still need to do my cooking prep the week. It’s a relatively short book though so hoping to be gone tonight or tomorrow morning at the latest

Yea she's okay. Tripped in the front yard and got a nasty gouge in her leg trying to sneak up on her brother to scare him.

Krissy - glad your daughter is o.k.. Haha, I just spent 17 hours in the ER yesterday... working. My second 16 hour shift this week. But I have had a lazy day today and got some reading in.

Oh yes we need lots of O's. I just posted one, and I will try to get to another by the end of the week. But I think my next one so far is working for a B.

I'm trying to focus on O's. I'm reading another one now and have two on hold from the library I'm waiting for (fingers crossed I'll get them soon). Might even dust off some George Orwell if I have time.

I have started the BOM - Crazy Rich Asians. I had to buy the ebook because I didn't get it in time from library. I had it from the library before the challenge started but it got returned and didn't read it because I was saving it for this challenge. I wanted to read it before the movie, but ended up seeing the movie already. Easy read. And there is an O character, and an L. I have started the discussion and answered first set of questions. If I have participated in the questions up until the end of week and finish the book, CAN IT BE COUNTED FOR THIS WEEK? The discussion doesn't finish unti the 10th.

Yes it can. Provided you had answered at least some days questions, we would claim the book in the week you finished it 😀

I am thinking it might be a good week to re-read the lux series by Jennifer Armentrout as all 5 main books begin with O. It’s just a shame there doesn’t seem to be an audio version available on audible or through my library.

That sucks :/ The Lux series is available on our audible. Plus it's available with the romance package so it'd be free.

I put the book I read and posted on the official sheet, it fits for the bonus of on cover as well as in text. For now, I put it under on cover. If it needs to be moved, move it and let me know and I'll get you the information for it. Blood is mentioned A LOT in this book.

Also, if you like dark and erotic reads...I highly recommend this. And if you read it, tell Sadie and Monica that I recommended it to you. Those ladies are awesome!

I updated the spreadsheets this morning. For the next two spell-outs we just need O's. As it's still early in the week, read what fits with any of the letters.

On the planning spreadsheet, please make sure that the book you originally placed on it wasn't just moved. As the official spreadsheet gets updated, I move things around on the planning spreadsheet so they match.

I planned on focusing on the Os. Leaving the easier letters for everybody else

I just started a series I’m super into where every book starts with O so I want to get some of those done as well. If we don’t need any more, I can go to other letters though

Author’s first name is also Blake so it will work for B and O

The more options we have, the better it is. Most of my stuff that I can get to quick, without even considering characters or series name, is B, L, or D.

I got three hours of sleep last night because I was watching the coverage haha. Totally worth it though!

Beth, I worked another 16hour shift yesterday and when I got home I was just bombarded with all the wonderful news I had missed all day. I was beaming.

Now before we all panic too much, in terms of reading for genre we can also use the word 'side' but we will still need to find it on a cover, in a title and in the text of a book.

On the plus side, it does give lots of letters to play with next week so I am sure we can make it work for us.

Good think I still have a lot of O and B books to read. This word isn’t as fun. I do have quite a few C books to choose from as well.

In terms of bonus...that's going to be a tough word to do. It does help that we get it a few days early so we can start looking. As long as I can stay upright, I'll try to do some searching.

Whatever bug I caught, it's kicking my ass. I'm on day 10 now. Whatever this is, it must not be contagious because no one in my house has it.

I have one book to log and I'm almost done with another at least.

Since there are so few shelves for side there is no point in looking at any books with more than 1000 ratings. Chances are 'side' won't be on the first page of shelves.

I could possibly read this one for the genre but ONLY if nobody finds something else they want to read. I have no interest in reading it so I'd hate to spend $ on the audiobook but I'm willing to take one for the team...

Hey everyone! I just wanted to give an update to you all. It's good news/bad news. I've been between jobs and have been tutoring part time, so lots of time to read. Well, long story short... the company I tutor for gave me an opportunity to get A LOT more hours (at least for the short term). Which is awesome for me!!!

But... it's seriously cutting into my reading time. So, the bad news is I'm not going to get as many book done this week and probably the next few weeks as I'd hoped. I'll still read as much as I can, don't worry about that!
