Glad you are finally starting to feel better.

Yea it works for B and D too.
How did you like it?

Awesome job!

I don't think there are a lot of great or 'easy' words for these next two thanksgiving rounds so while we have a relatively hard word this week, so do most other teams so I am certain if we keep working together the way we have so far, we can continue to do well.
On to week 3! :-)

I had a quick look through amazon yesterday when i was searching for cornbread in a title and all the ones i could find using those search parameters were recipe books
I am trying to think of other search terms i might use to try and find one but as we don't celebrate thanksgiving here in Australia, its harder to think of alternate search terms that might. Also I don't really know what cornbread looks like LOL!

oh, is that cornbread?
LOL
told i didn't know what cornbread looked like

😂😂
Some people cook it in the oven in a cast iron skillet. That is definitely cornbread

So since this one we really need to tackle some harder letters, what is the best way to see what letters are still available/need to be read?

As i update the main spreadsheet this week, I will be updating the planning spreadsheet to match so you can see what has been finished/entered where etc
If everyone marks when they have started a book on the spreadsheet, that will also help as well as every other letter their book works for and why. This will help if we need to do some re-arranging Towards the end of the week, each night before i go to bed I will post in the thread the letters we are missing from the current read through.
also for those who may have limited access to spreadsheet or working off a mobile goodreads, maybe stating i this thread when you start a book and the letter you are reading for?

Yea it works for..."
I thought it was alright, but I didn't love love it. There were some important themes that came up around black incarceration and the disruption to families, and just relationship stuff and loyalty and changes over time. So that was worth it. But I am defenitely enjoying some other books much more.

Definitely! I will add you to the spreadsheet for C and cornbread in the text when I get home.

Oooh I can't wait to see this! It doesn't come out in Australia until January :(

ACORN
so yeah, not much better than cornbread but Meh LOL
We can also also use SEED for Genre tag
So we have been a little quieter this week. How is everyone doing?

I’ve been quiet because I’ve been reading a ton and not feeling all that great but I’m still here! Right now I’m working on a book that works for N, R, D, and E. So i’ll Make sure to put that in the spreadsheet

Thanks for looking that up Beth. I forgot that this is the challenge that has a countdown timer.

I need to read this book... someday. So many books, so little time.

I’ll let you know if it should be bumped up on your list!

Actually here the rule regarding word count:
◈ Books must be 160 pages or more in length. Children's books, Graphic Novels, Scriptplays (movie and theater), Cookbooks and Poetry books cannot be used unless by word count they can be verified (by arbookfind.com) as more than 40,000 words. If not on arbookfind, check audible for an audio version of longer than 4 hours for the book to be valid.

So as mentioned last night. Our word for week 4 is :
ACORN
The spreadsheet tab for this word is now up in the planning spreadsheet if you want to start planning books for next week.
In terms of our week 3 word, so far we have completed 3 run throughs of the word and need an A to complete run through number 4.
We have completed cornbread on the cover and currently have Mollie reading for side as a genre, myself reading for cornbread in the title and Sarah reading for Cornbread in the text.
We are still sitting currently in 4th place and we are still doing well so keep reading as you are :-)

I was finally getting over that stomach bug that kicked my ass for 11 days, then got slammed with a migraine. Today, no stomach bug, no migraine. Just drained of all energy.
I've only read one book so far. Which is a shock. So, I am probably not going to providing a whole lot to the team this week :(
