Thank you - always down for more positivity in my reading!
I found a video about a woman named Lisa Starr, who's building sustainable biodomes in the US (Arizona, I think?) - they're absolutely gorgeous: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evsu9...
Skip to 1:50 to avoid the sponsorship etc :)

Oh my life that book looks amazing - I'm actually going to have to buy a hard copy. I'm absolutely in love with eco homes and that looks like it has some particularly pretty examples! Plus it actually has the how to? Perfection!
Ah no. I think most of those pictures are from my Earthship Porn folder on Pinterest, lol.
Just tried to look at the book again but it must have been something I read in my kindle unlimited days.

Hahaha, my bad, but that's a great name for a Pinterest folder!
In that case, how do I persuade you to have an art book of eco homes published? :D

Maybe it's the sleep deprivation talking, but that actually looks like it could be worth a watch :D

Hey guys! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! Did anyone Black Friday? I ordered a new Kindlw HD10, the sale plus trade-in made a sweet deal.
Ooh, nice! No Black Friday for me though - we don't have Thanksgiving in NZ but the retailers still do Black Friday - I'm still struggling to decide which ereader I get next :)
Just heard about The Staunch Prize from Corinne and I think everyone should hear about it!

Driving back home through my neighborhood this morning when I saw three boys rushing around down the street; one had a metal detector, one had a trowel, one had a sack. I laughed and was so proud of their moms! These kids were on an old school mission out getting exercise.
There is hope.

That's very interesting! I almost never read thrillers because the genre is a (fictional) women abuse nest.

Oh, that's amazing! Don't know if it's still being done, but my middle school had a 'we only have one planet' day each month - all the students would go out in groups of 3-4 (with a teacher/volunteer parent) and clean the city. I was amazed by the sheer number of gargage people just toss in the street/parks :O
That's a great idea, Virginie! Where I work we get a day to donate to charity (whenever we like), so this year I'm getting a group of us together to do a similar thing. I haven't seen schools do it though, let's hope that takes off ^^

If anything, people are less likely to throw that McDonalds package on the ground if they know their kid is going to have to pick it up later (or if they spent hours doing so as kids) :p

I really want to read lots of things with you guys, so I'm trying to figure out of much leeway I ought to leave in my monthly TBR :)
New group, so I was trying out a few things out. I like the idea of squeezing in some non fiction but I think one book a month will be all until the group grows.

I can only broadcast one message a day to you all so here is where I say I’m sorry that I made and broadcast a poll for not this group.
I was working on the poll for Spells Space and Screams...
and then i was screaming, lol. I've never deleted a poll and i didn't know i couldn't send a My Bad email.

That looks like a lot of fun.
I have! I confess I'm a bit surprised there's an uproar, but I'm not a guy so may be seeing it through the wrong lens. From my perspective it looked like quite an upbeat ad, with a nice message about trying to be better people. Yes, male-centric, but Gilette have a mainly masculine market, so it makes sense that they'd target them. Maybe we'll see a female equivalent for their Venus brand, tackling MLM and anti-vax movements?
What were everyone's thoughts?

I liked it too. I think the controversy only helps them and that they have started a trend (hopefully) https://www.theguardian.com/media/201...
