Again, i'm not expecting a huge turnout..psychedelic music not being everybody cup o' char an all...but you have a wealth of albums to choose from, 7 to date..plus one EP, the rare hand painted and numbered Greens Pool; a copy of which I have and treasure! :)
Oh, and as I stated on FA noms thread, best just keep it to Pond for this round, as there are a tad too many other interrelated side projects, that both Tame Impala and Pond have worked on, to mention.

A silver this week for Val with Elvis' Flaming Star, leaving the bronze to be split between Jemma and Spacepig with Paint Me Silver and Giant Tortoise.
This one seems to have had a bit of a mixed reaction, personally, I am just glad I don't have to listen to the playlist again.

To be perfectly honest, I didn't like any of them and if this is psychedelia then my categorisations have been all wrong for the last 40 years at least.

Not my cup of tea at all. I only settled on my nom because there were barely any vocals on it.
Interesting as I don't like Psychedelia at all - so perhaps that's why I quite liked bits and pieces here and there of Pond? ;o>
Well done Sussex, Val & Jemma.With regards to Spaepig & Sussex comments..you're kinda right I guess, Pond, as well as Tame Impala's music, is more aimed at the youf listeners I suspect, so does have a more pop orientated style to their music. I don't like everything Pond has done, their latest album The Weather, was just dire...I much prefer their earlier experimental work..along with their modern classic, the very trippy Man It's Feels Like Space Again, the title track from their 2015 album.
Anyhoo...many thanks again to everyone for joining in...I accept not all my choices will be a 'hit' with some of you, but glad the rest found something they liked.....even our dear sweet Suzy too! :)

the current abysmal state of modern music is based on the lowest common denominator, and has never been as bankrupt as it is now! this crowd are just typical of the lack of purpose carried by most contemporary musicians!i've already forgotten what they sound like, except for the fact that i never need remind myself!

That's definitely not psychedelia. On the other hand, 'pop' should not be a dirty word. As with most genres, there's good pop and bad pop.
And I LOVE POP! - there, I've said it! - and I shall keep on saying it too ;o>
Me too! That's at least three of us - probably not a quorum though.
I don’t know how to define pop but I’m sure I like quite a lot of it.

No apologies necessary Sussex....this thread is all about trying out lesser known artists, as well the better known ones. Lesser known bands tend to get a mixed reception anyway....so no sweat.
