Challenge for the last two months of the year. There's a level for everyone.

Duration: 1st November - 31st December 2018

Levels
Initiate: 1-6 books
Apprentice: 7-12 books
Journeyman: 13-18 books
Master: 19-24 books
Grand Master: 25+ books

What do I do?

Pick from the below options to meet your challenge objective.
The challenge books can be fantasy or non-fantasy.
Challenge books must be books, not novellas or graphic novels.
Post your challenge in this thread and we will add a link directly to your post.
Books only count that you have started reading from the 1st of November.

Option 1
Spell out the levels.

Example:

M Magic Rises
A A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
S Shards of Honour
T The Grey Bastards
E Enchanters' End Game
R Retribution Falls

Option 2
Read our group name by using authors first or their last name.

Example - note I've used last names in the example, but you can use first names.

Hope the below helps to clarify.

If you spell out the words Apprentice + Journeyman = 20 books. You achieve MASTER level.

If you spell out Fantasy + Buddy + Reads = 17 books
You achieve JOURNEYMAN level.

Quick question though. If we chose option 1 do we have to spell it out using only the first letter of the first word?

For example I am doing the Apprentice level so if I read Stalking Jack the Ripper could I use that book to fulfil the R since there is no S in the word?

I'm pretty flexible. As long as one of the words in the title of the book matches a letter :-).

I'm not sure I understand the challenge 😅
If you're going to choose the Initiate Level, you can't spell it out because the word got more than 6 letters, whereas Master is relatively short? Sorry, I'm a little confused!

And maybe we can do Option 2 all together as a team? Everyone contributes books that fit and we see if we can spell the group name out together? 😁

You can spell out any level name, but the number of books you read indicates which level title you achieve. I'm trying to spell apprentice, but if I read 6 books that means I only achieve initiate as my level. Hope that helps!

If you want to be a Master you have to read 19-24 books. It's up to you how many levels titles you spell out as long as it is the required number of books.

Initiate + Apprentice = 18 books
Apprentice + Journeyman = 20 books

It's up to you which level titles you use to achieve your book total. :-).

So if I read 27 books I'll get to be a Grand Master? I'm very ambitious you see. :D
