Sara Allyn My brother (my "agent") has prohibited me from posting my amateur concept art for my book on my book's Facebook page. He says it's not professional looking enough. I agree that my little sketches and doodles aren't exactly cover material, but I kinda like them. So I posted them on Twitter and here on my Goodreads blog (where my brother will never find them. Mwuhaha!)

So, anyway, I'm just wondering if there are any other authors out there who have done some of their own concept art but are reluctant to include it with the book or share it with the public.

Aw, thanks. I'm going to show my brother your post and be like "you see!" lol

Phillip Murrell | 604 comments A lot better than I can do. I think they have a charm to them. You should post them.

Sarah | 3174 comments I think they are great. You should totally post them. They don’t really scream book cover to me- but mostly because they are black/grey/white. But the drawings themselves are wonderful.

Sara Allyn You guys are so nice. I learned how to make a Pinterest "board." I put them there. I think that works.

Tomas Grizzly | 448 comments If you have a blog or a web, you might post them there as something like "behind the scenes". I am awful even on sketching so my own sketches will likely never leave my PC but if they did, it's how I would do it.
