Horror Aficionados discussion

I am doing my best to get into the books the group is reading this month. Im over half way through Ghost Story. Its good but not really feeding my itch so ive taken a break. No, lately ive been spending 6-8 hours, pretty much from sunset until i fall asleep on my days off reading these damn "true" creepy tales on reddit..on my damn phone ffs. lol.

I don't know what it is but its been my most addicting reading experience in a long time. I literally have to force myself to stop. Theres something about the amateurism that makes everything more real..even if more than a couple of them may have been completely fabricated. Still for the most part, it's hard to believe the creativity is there. i mean there is a subreddit dedicated to that sort of thing r/nosleep and those stories don't come close to these puppies in terms of bringing the fear imo.

Anyone into these? Just google "creepiest stories on reddit" or best of r/letsnotmeet. For the most part its a bunch of nail biting stories with ppls actual run ins with the criminally insane, serial killers, kidnappers, stalkers, etc...I haven't even cracked the seal on the paranormal side of things yet!

I may just have to check it out, if I can wrap my head around the reddit app. I used to be half addicted to reading horribly written fanfiction on Tumblr a while back. I wonder if there is a similar horror section there as well. There should be, right?
