The Parlor PI's discussion

I'm nearly through this section and thought we'd better get going on part 2. Tremaine is acting so poorly, I doubt that he will be the murderer of Ms. Swift. The investigation is proceeding in these chapters and I am amazed by how much cooperation and access Jessica gets from the police. Not at all like so many of our cozy sleuths, frustrated and shut out by their police.

Somewhere in this section, we find that Ms. Swift was apparently looking into the death of Tony Scott. And also that, the day before her murder, she went to he safe deposit box and removed the entire contents, though we don't know what that was.

Also, Jessica reviews for us some of the suspects: Lucas Tremaine, of course, but Warren Wilson, Erica and/or Paul Marshall, Artie Sack, the "challenged" gardener, Robert Wandowski, whose daughter was found baking cookies with the victim, Jeremy Scott, Tony's son, just returning to Cabot Cove.

My money is on Jeremy, given that I still think Tony's death was an unresolved mystery (if he really is dead!)

I'm ruling out Lucas Tremaine and Artie Sack for this murder. Warren Wilson, Paul/Erica Marshall, Robert Wandowski, Jeremy Scott are on my suspect list. Maybe a spouse or two as partner just as accomplice.

Do you think maybe Artie is covering up for someone? He seems nervous when the police are around.

I'm a little stymied by the relationship between between, Erica, Jeremy, and Warren. I don't think Artie did it, but he could be covering up, or at least think he's covering up, for someone. Also, I have a severe dislike for Paul Marshall - "This is just ridiculous," Marshall grumbled. Go question those cleaning people outside. My guests are not murderers...." - what a SNOB, lol!

I agree Paul especially seems a totally unlikable person. For a good reason or just to be a typical hot headed businessman?

Anyway, I am almost finished and will start the final discussion today or tomorrow.

Yeah, Paul Marshall is all the above. :-/
