I finally finished doing all my books. It took a long time. I think next time should be a lot easier. I m keeping the directions I wrote down to share with you.

Login to KDP
Click on “YOUR” Account (at top of page)
Click Help button at the top of the page
On the left side of the page
Click under Update your Book
Click Update Your Book Details
Scroll to very bottom of page, on the far left
Click the “Contact Us” button
On the left under How can we help?
Click the Book details circle
Then click the “Update Categories And Keywords” button
Now you have choices, you can either phone them or you can email them

I used the Email option, it opens up a Send us an e-mail link
In the subject line I entered “Requesting category updates for multiple books” because I was trying to update the categories in all of my books.

Then it is easy to follow the suggestions offered.

Once you enter the information just click the Send Message button.

Sounds easy doesn’t it. Well it was but it takes time. I keep windows open, one on the KDP page, one on the Amazon listing page for the book, you have to list your book using the ASIN number. And then the hard part is deciding/knowing which categories you want to list.


I have watched a bunch of You tube videos on this. Everyone said if you call they answer right away and are very helpful. I chose the email way as I had seven books I wanted changed.
