This is the sequel to A Gathering of Lions and Lambs. The plague is deadly and unstoppable. Human civilization dies. But one teenage boy is determine to salavge as many lives as he can and hold on to civilization for as long as he can.

In book 1, Jacob Trimble leads his followers to a safe haven only to discover it is threatened from within.
