8% - (view spoiler)[ So the switching to Evangaline's viewpoint and then to Lisette's really threw me. I had to reread Chapter 2 twice because I was lost. I was expecting to still be in Alice's viewpoint but not only did we fast forward 10 years but now we are in characters we haven't met yet viewpoints. (hide spoiler)]

26% - (view spoiler)[ I’m not a fan of this narrator. I think she is doing great on the dialogue but everything else sounds so monotone. And wtf is going on is this playing out to be witches vs voodoo or something? (hide spoiler)]

46% - (view spoiler)[ Soooo I stopped listening to the audio and am finding I like the book better however I still feel really lost there is a lot of mashup of different cultures and mythologies here which makes sense, I believe that’s a great representation of New Orleans as a whole. What I do know: Magic is dying, everyone is power hungry, Alice and Evangeline have some sort of part to play. What I still can’t figure out: who is the bad dude, why magic is dying, what the heck the grandparents were up to when things went wrong, what this book is really about? (hide spoiler)]
