I loved Wayfarers #2 and the Murderbot series had a quite fun beginning (I've to continue the series). Kindred is also a great choice (I own this cover edition, so gorgeous *_*).

It's surprising you haven't read Matilda, it was one of my fav as a child. I need to read it as an adult to see if I still enjoy it.
