Ren (renkeeling) | 6 comments Hello everyone!!! Since it’s so late in the year (literally October haha) when I’m joining in on the challenge I’m setting a pretty low goal of 20 books. I haven’t been reading much in the past couple of months because I’ve been consumed with school, but I’m determined to fit reading into my hectic schedule.

Books I’ve read:

-The Saviors Champion by Jenna Moreci
Rating: 5 stars
Thoughts: I have a full review on this book, but in summary I loved every moment of it. This book follows Tobias as he navigates his way through the Sovereigns Tournament a month long event that is filled with daily challenges and trials. Tobias quickly realizes that his town isn’t as good as he thought it was. This plot was so freaking original to me and I loved it. The characters are real and authentic, the romance was swoon worthy and healthy, the plot twists were unexpected, and it’s obvious that Jenna is an amazing author.

Books planning on reading:
-The Sunflower by Simon Wiesenthal
-The Hunger Games by Susanne Collins
-The Midnight Star by Marie Lu
-Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
-Frostbite by Richelle Mead
-Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery
-To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
-Writing Magic: creating stories that fly by Gail Carson Levine
-Spilling Ink by Anne Mazer and Ellen Potter

-pretty good, feel like some of the advice was a little obvious to me. But considering the fact that I’ve been studying the craft of writing for years now that doesn’t really surprise me 4/5 stars

Book #3: Spilling Ink by Anne Mazer and Hellen Potter
-takes a while to get into the advice, but I loved the advice they gave. Super simplistic yet helpful. Perfect thing for someone who is an intermediate author who wants to improve their writing.
4/5 stars

Book #4: The Sunflower by Simon Wiesenthal
-i loved this book so much. It really makes you think about what you may or may not know about ww2 and how the Jews themselves felt as they were beaten, forced to work, killed, and just treated badly in general. It also makes you think about dying at peace and what it really means along with the truth about forgiveness.
4.5/5
