50% (view spoiler)[ I think Simin will be good for Morgaine. He was pretty upset that she was on display in the glass cage. Thank god he took her away, the fact that she was going to the pleasure house since the Alpha with the biggest stake on her can't take a mate?! How is that okay? (hide spoiler)]

75% (view spoiler)[ I'm happy that Simin took Morgaine to the omegas for them to help her. She was mentally and physically tortured by the Nierra Alphas and not being able to speak Simin's language would be terrifying. I hope they can help set her straight on how things work and she can grow to care for Simin. (hide spoiler)]

I feel really badly for Morgaine - her body betrays her, no one cares that what she thinks or feels, and all the men around her are arrogant assholes that think they know best. They are going to rape her, but they aren't even going to see it as rape. (hide spoiler)]
Ch 11 (50%) - (view spoiler)[ Just when I was hoping (but not really believing) that Esin was going to end up a good guy (aka the hero), we find out that he is planning on whoring her out for TWO years before he can take her as his mate. I'm so disgusted with these alphas right now. I want to think that this new foreigner is the hero we've been waiting for, but I have my doubts. (hide spoiler)]
Ch 18 (76%) - (view spoiler)[ Perhaps things are going to turn around now? At least she is in a place where she can learn of their culture without MEN telling her. And Simin does seem to be trying to do what is best for her. (hide spoiler)]
Finished - Finally! (view spoiler)[ a decent-ish guy! Let's face it, he still got what he wanted, but at least he is trying to please her as well. Bringing her mother to be with her was pretty sweet.

I have mixed feelings about this book. I really hated the beginning, but recognize that it was the author's intention. Once she met Simin, things got better for Morgaine, but I still think her life is kind of messed up. She is still a slave to her body - it's just now linked to somewhat decent guy instead of that prick Esin. (hide spoiler)]

Will the next book continue their story, or will it be about Etaine's adventures back on Morgaine's homeworld?
