J.D. Robb discussion

Our current series group read, Will Trent, ends with the final book in December. Before we begin a nomination process to select another series, Sandra and I thought it would be advisable to see if there is any interest in participating in another group read.

If you’re interested, please post a message below and let us know. Obviously, your decision may depend on the series selected. We just want to know at this stage whether or not to continue with the selection process.

Jonetta, just to let you know, there is going to be another Will Trent book next year!! Isnt that exciting news. I found out by reading the blurb on Pieces of Her by her. Its under the authors note. I cant wait to read it.

I would be interested in one, depending on the series and if I can get the books on Overdrive.

Sadly Karin Slaughter and I did not hit it off over the Grant County series so I have never been tempted to try Will Trent.

Definitely. I have enjoyed so much our discussions of Grant County and Will Trent. They were a great pick. Sorry in a way that we are coming to an end of what has been published.

I’m interested as well. I tend to like series bc if you like book 1 then you don’t have to worry about what to read next. But I’m a selective reader prone to binge read authors once I decide I love their books (probably bc hated reading until 5th grade when the school librarian introduced me to Nancy Drew). I suggest Melissa Foster bc her books can be read as standalone, in series order or publication order

I felt the same way but the 2-3-4 Discussion group is actually a really great way to frame the discussion questions. I don't participate in them all.

I had not read any of Grant county/Will trent before this and really grew to enjoy it.

Not sure how many people have already read them but I'd love to do the Karen Rose series', I think there are a few intertwined and a lot of books.

Looks like we have enough interest to continue with the process! I’ll set up the nominations thread.
